it strikes me the flight of the bird people (I'm not even going to try to spell their races name) is remarkably similar to what's happening in the western world. invading using civilians doesn't make it less of an invasion, just more insidious and evil on behalf of those in charge, you can't help but be sympathetic for the victims just trying to survive but you have to look after your own before you can look out for everyone else
