This cocky self-assured 27 yr old bad boy has never heard the word "no" before and that intrigues the hell out of him.. and later he will meet her again.. later he will thoroughly f'k her.. later he will become obsessed with her.. later he will fall hopelessly in love with her.. and later he will save her life.. as well as her soul.

Emmy Rose has put her 22 yr old life on hold and has come to Vegas because her estranged sister is in a coma and if Emmy isn't working then she's by her sister's bedside clutching on to a lifeless hand.. and hope. She hasn't got time for men or distractions - but when one such droolworthy distraction approaches her (with a look that promised much more) Emmy is very very tempted. Unfortunately for her all too willing libido, Emmy is on the clock and needs to keep her well paying job so she brushes the sexy stranger off.. and later she'll meet him again at a high stakes game.. later she won't say no.. later she'll learn his name.. later there will be passion-fuelled mind blowing sex.. and later she will be swept off her feet. But later there will be shocks that'll shake her world, secrets that'll need to be uncovered, twists that'll leave her reeling, a kidnapping that'll put her life in danger, her sister will wake with one name on her lips.. and Emmy Rose will have to learn to trust.. as well as love.

Right from the start this shamelessly arrogant stubborn bad boy charmed me and, as the chapters flew by, he wowed and wooed me too with his caring ways, his determination, his tenderness and his sweet sweet heart that wouldn't give up and wouldn't let go. Emmy was a bit erratic with her emotions after all she'd been through in her life and she needed someone strong to hope with, change for and trust. The getting there wouldn't be an easy journey though and, at times, she p'd me off because of her wish-washy attitude towards Ace. Lots of sweaty needy sex because these two were like rabbits, passion, promises, angst, drama from Ace's greedy dangerous nemesis and both the h/h had a tight group of supportive loveable friends. It was insta most things, as well as fictional fantasy.. and I ate every morsel up because, for me, it was continually compelling, deliciously developed and temptingly told. Perfect narration once again from Joe and Maxine who both know how to bring stories to life and make them pop.

Worth a credit? Yes it definitely would've been - but this little temptation was just under $10 so I just bought it and I'll use my credit on a higher priced listen.. which may not be as enjoyable, as entertaining and as addictive as this one was. A dual POV storyline where a broken woman meets a damaged man who picks up her pieces, cherishes each one, holds her and them tight.. and never ever lets go. Now I'm happily moving on to English bad boy Landon's story.

Yes, yes, yes!!! You got to love a book that has an awesome sex scene in the first couple of chapters. If you don’t than this book is not for you. Enjoy.

This is a well thought out story. The characters well developed, and intrigueing. Not one boring part..... Look forward to reading rest of series. Well written. Could you include an Ace for me ?????? If only to look at ??
