This gives me the feel of primal hunter but with more characters to develop, it is fantastic so far high first book. I am excited to see how this one plays out

Zane is badass

Really enjoyed this book mc loves combat lots of hulk smash moments. One of my new favorite characters.

It was a enjoyable listen! Laid back and what it claims to be. No harem which is always nice! Just brutal fun and advancing and I hope to see where Zane goes on this new path. CG killed it on Narration, and cover art is well done no AI cover crap.

Looking forward to the next book!

Not OP

Being OP is someone who doesn’t struggle at all and all battles are trivial to the point of being funny. This is not it. MC is not OP because there are plenty who are stronger then him. Instead he is driven and focused and likes fighting and progressing. A good book.

Pleasantly surprised by how good this was

I've listened to hundreds of litrpg, system and cultivation audiobooks.

This one gave me exactly what I wanted. A murder hobo with a heart. Grabbing the next as soon as it comes out.

unapologetic

This is a story you have heard before, but what is different is that it is unapolegetic about embracing the carnage that an event like this would create. I listen to books in the Litrpg genre to be transported to a world where the rules are changed, morality is changed, society is changed, etc. So I am consistently frustrated with authors who deem it necessary to inject contemporary moral and societal values to a violent post apocalyptic ruinscape. So many times have I read the summary of a book, become excited at the prospect, then only be let down by an author who seems to believe that a world such as one they are creating would be a terrible thing and an MC must be an example of someone caught in this terrible event, acknowledge how terrible it is and then be a beacon to bring upright social justice and fairness back into the situation. This book is not that. This wonderful example of the litrpg genre embraces the change, revels in the violence, and makes no issue out of having a more traditional view on what it takes to not only succeed in a world like this, but enjoy the suck. Thank you to an author that hasn't been bullied by the Woke, cajoled into confusing men and women, and depicting an MC (who definitely has clinical sociopathy, but don't we all?) who is a good man, and will help, but not at a hindrance to him living his best life and killing s**t. Thank you for this. Thank you, you brave soul.

A pleasant surprise.

I went into this book with no expectations. I was looking for something new to listen to while I wait for other audiobooks to drop. I am quite happy that I did! It has enough character growth to keep me interested and the MC comes across as very reasonable while also not trying to talk everyone down and explain why we should all get along.

OP MC FUN

Fast paced action, fast leveling, fast growth with an OP MC who is a battle maniac. He cares about fighting and getting stronger. The author does a good job doing some world building and keeping the MC on the move and not getting bogged down in one spot. I’ll definitely get book 2
