I loved each story. Book 1 was about Moira and Pryor who meet under unusual circumstances. He was expecting a mail order bride, she was expecting to m..Show More »ake good on her claim. They both got more than they expected in the bargain and helped to create a community for New Hope. Book 2 is the continuation of the story. We met Nathaniel in Book 1 and he is expecting his mail order bride now. But she is not what he expected and has some secrets that appear to derail the marriage but are actually a foundation for it. There is a language barrier thrown in as well. This was another fun listen. Katia gets all that she hoped for and more in this deal and Nate gets the love of his life. The angst is so funny in this one. i loved that Gretchen found love in this one also. Book 3 is a story of love rising out of the ashes of tragedy. Anna Mae is the love of Wyatt's life and holds him prisoner even though she is dead. This causes problems for the mail order bride that Wyatt is cohersed into sending for because he has three children who need help while he does what it takes to keep his land. This was a continuation of the story and brought in more characters and more love stories within the story. Book 4 was the funniest one of all. A five foot seven fully muscled man is the one having the problems. He longs for love after a terrible heartbreak but can't seem to catch a break in finding it. So many mishaps and delays but true love proved to be an elusive goal but it did finally happen. I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review via audiobook boom. Loved it.
I found this story to be a very nice change from some of the other mail order brides books. This bride came with her own money and a very independent ..Show More »streak that boded well for her groom. He knew from the start that she would be good for the land and him. I loved the way the maid became her friend and no longer a servant. I can't wait for book 2 and hope that it is the maids romance. The narrator was very good although the sound editing could have been better. He made the story come alive although his laughter parts were a bit stilted. I was gven this book via audiobook boom in exchange for an honest review.
It's such a pleasure to listen to a book that has appealing characters, a romance that is clean, a plot that's not too predictable and narration that ..Show More »fits the story. Each book in this series is about 4 hours long so they make a great afternoon listen.
This particular book in the series is the story of Nathaniel and Katia. I have to admit the first chapter describing Katia's family gave a tear to my eye. This delightful story shows the difficulties and sacrifices they made in the name of love and commitment. I recommend this book to all ages.
The narrator does a really good job with this series. 😉 He's got a great "western" quality to his voice. There were a few production or editing errors however. A few times there were noises......it actually sounded like airplanes flying in the background. Lol. But despite that, it was a very enjoyable listen.
I would like to thank the author, narrator, or publisher for providing me this audiobook at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review.
This third book is another winner for the series. I like how the author writes well rounded characters along with a story that wraps around emotions ..Show More »of anger, hurt, and happiness.
This book focuses on Millie and Wyatt. Now, Wyatt is a widower who needs someone to help with his children, etc. I won't give the story away, but let's just say that for most of this book I didn't care much for Wyatt. Millie is a "Saint" to put up with some of his crap (lol) but she held her own. This is a clean romance with moments of sadness, anger, happiness and wit. I recommend to all ages to enjoy.
I enjoyed the narration of Charles D Baker. He truly has the perfect voice for this series. Like book two, this book also has a few spots of backround noise. In one spot it sounded like a train which was kind of cool....since the time period in this book has trains.
I enjoyed this book and I would like to thank the author, narrator, or publisher for providing me this audiobook at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review.
Book 4 in this series is quite the unusual adventure! Like the previous books this one has well written characters, an interesting story, and plenty ..Show More »of quirkiness to go around. I definatey recommend this series to everyone who enjoys good clean western romances.
The narrator has the perfect western style voice for this series. He does accents very well and I appreciate that each voice was unique. Well done!
