Jenny Phillips’ good name was ruined by her father’s stupidity. Forced into hiding with her ma, she’s desperate to put her pa’s stained reputation behind. But when her domineering uncle tries to sell her to the highest bidder, she flees by answering a lonely Montana man’s classified....

Upon meeting the Virginia rose, Mathew falls hard and offers to help her get settled. And though Jenny finds herself attracted to the kind-hearted cattle farmer, she fears a marriage amid deadly conflict between miners and natives could spoil their chance at happiness.

Can the couple survive a bumpy trail to love and begin a new life together?

Sweet Mail order Bride romance

I really enjoyed this story. I found it to be a great mail order bride story. I liked the interaction between the characters. Mathew and Jenny were very compassionate people. I loved that his best friend was an Indian in a time where they were so feared. I loved that she was open minded to that as well. The plot was interesting and kept me engaged. I felt bad when things went from good to bad. I was elated when they went back to good again. The narrator did a fantastic job as well. He is always very good at bringing characters to life. I would listen to him read any book, any day, all day. I would highly recommend this book and this narrator to anyone who enjoys reading historical romance reads about mail order brides.

Warm. Clean. Western Mail Order - Montana Rancher

Warm. Clean. Western Mail Order - VA Socialite-Montana Rancher

A warm, sweet, clean story of a Virginia socialite, whose suicidal father defrauded their social circle, takes her mom and heads west to Montana in answer to a young rancher's mail order ad. This is #1 the 12 book Bear Creek series and part of the growing romance genre: economic development for shrinking Western towns through mail order romance.

Smoothing Out Differences

THE RESCUED..BRIDES. SAVIOR....Amelia..Rose
Matthew with his longer hair, and having Indian friends, watching the sun set on his cattle ranch. The cattle drive was done, now preparing for the winter, and feeling lonesome, what was he missing, Leaving school early he had no friends. Brown Bear the Sioux Chief telling him the miners won’t stay off their land, and scaring the deer away. Then telling him The Great Spirit had a message for him to get a wife, and fill his house. With their father dead and the scandal, her mother and her had no home. Now with the Uncle now saying Jenny had to marry, the suitor were old enough to be a father. Her Mother shows her the matrimony ads in the newspaper. and thinking it was a joke to lighten their distress. Could she live out west, and learn domestic chores.
A heartwarming story that flowed, learning the hopes these two have for. marriage and companionship. A different life for Jenny and her mother, giving them freedom, and out from the Uncle and a marriage Jenny didn’t. want. Given ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

I found Jenny too recalcitrent

I loved Matthew in this story. He really opened his life to Jenny, even though he didn't require marriage for her to come to his ranch. Jenny I found she played the I want to build my own life card way too much. She didn't even think what she was imposing on Matthew. Matthew however fell hard for Jenny, and wanted to find some way to show Jenny how much he cared. Unfortunately, the miners tried to start a war while Jenny was in the Indian's camp. The plot & storyline are excellent, but Jenny's character was off putting at times, and her cooking skills are quite different translating them from a recipe to actually cooking, especially when you have never cooked before. Her mother was fortunate that she knew how to do certain things, even though she never actually did them herself.
