The story here was good, the characters defined, if a bit predictable. Sterling wraps up the story and lets you know there's more to the overall saga..Show More ». The narrator was a bit flat. Sometimes really good, other times, just meh. Not very good at strong emotions or "yelling". I found myself wishing for a strong narrator like Renee Raudman (Kate Daniels - best series ever!) or Tavia Gilbert (Night Huntress - 2nd fav series).. but she did ok, and didn't ruin the story, which, as I said, was good. I'll move on to the next book.
This series just gets better, with a great cast of characters Nicole Poole brings to life. Silver finds out about her origin, who her family really is..Show More », and starts to trust again. This is an ongoing struggle as her new family widens in this installment. Nero is still a threat, Adam faces new obstacles, Silver gets a new opportunity with bodyguard included, prejudices become apparent when Logan and Silver try for a relationship, and Justice faces off with an old nemesis. A good series for sure.
Definitely! I'd recommend to start the series from the beginning though, as the story develops to reach great amounts of emotion. You get to love even..Show More »t the characters that are not the focus of the story and feel for them when things take an unexpected turn.
I have been pleasantly surprised by this series. I stumbled upon the 1st book and i have been hooked ever since. The Narrator has very smart and sas..Show More »sy voice. The Characters are multidimensional. It's been awhile since a book has thrown some surprises at me and left me with having to rewind to make sure i heard correctly. I have Laughed out Loud and been close to crying as well. Dannika has now become one of my favorite authors and i hope that there is a spin off of this series or a surprise book that pops up. Highly recommend
Must read the first books in the Mageri series before enjoying this gem! Although it is a standalone, there are lots of spoilers, if you intend to lis..Show More »ten to the series (and I highly recommend that!). Nicole is fabulous and her rendition of Simon is as spectacular as I thought it would be. For almost 5 years I've waited for this book and was not disappointed. Simon is delicious, sassy, compassionate, and of an intelligence that makes me tingle all over. Smart is so damn sexy!! Anyway, moving on... (Sorry, thinking of Simon makes me distracted!) Risk was the most anticipated story since Shine, the last Mageri Series book. Some parts of Risk got intense and serious, but never lingering on the painful parts of Simon's life. There were plenty of his known and adored cheeky humor, fun and flirtatious bits to keep me salivating all the way throughout the story. Ella was amazing! I fell in love with her right away and marveled at how stunningly beautiful she was created and developed. A true fighter and wonderful match for our beloved sexy British lover. Great read indeed! But if you are looking to truly appreciate all that comes with this sexy beast of a man, you must check out Sterling. He is in incredible delicious form there. His introduction is marked as one of the highlight moments of the entire series, in my opinion.
Loved this short Novella! I loved the Mageri series so much that when I saw there was a short novella based in the Mageri world I had to check it out...Show More » In Shine the last Mageri book we got introduced to Sunny’s brother very briefly while Silver is with Logan at Breed jail. This short novella explains how Sunny’s brother Kane ends up in breed jail. It will also explain who Kane who is a Sensor and Caroline who is also a Sensor meet and end up falling in love. Definitely loved this story and would like to read more about them in the future.
