I am not a very descriptive person but, WOW! I loved the Gargoyle angle. Right now everything seems to be centered on a Werewolf or Vampire. There ..Show More »are a mixture of races which gives me hope for this series. This is one of the few books that didn't point you to the answer in the first hour of the book and I enjoyed every minute of it. There were a lot of sub stories that didn't overwhelm the book or take over the story. There was just enough to let you know that there is a lot more going on than just this initial story. The heroine was a little weak, but her over protective family clearly showed you why. You get past that and the romance that builds between Terrick and Larrissa gives the story a chance to develop gradually instead of prematurely climaxing and throwing a lot of ridiculous misunderstandings in the way of an actual story. Or lots of sex. which is very irritating when you would like to understand the story itself. I liked it because I didn't have to spend 8 out of the 9 hours and 57 minutes listening the same sex positions in just about everyone's book. Thank you Danielle for giving us an actual tale to follow.!
