Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.
Just finished this series and highly recommend all 3 stories. But..Show More » definitely read/listen in order.
I really enjoy it when readers with similar reading interests list their favourite authors and series. It really helps me find new authors too follow. Mine are Charlaine Harris, Jeaniene Frost, Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter, Molly Harper, Ilona Andrews, Kresley Cole, Deborah Harkness, Nalini Singh, Coreene Callahan, Stacia Kane, Kelly Medding and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Wisocky's narration is very good. The second in this series starts right were the last left off.
I found Justine's character more frustr..Show More »ating in this installment because she's starting to fall in to the stereotypical heroine faults: self doubt, stupid/rash decisions and questioning the love of the men in her life. I don't find any of the characters to be wholly likable, but they all have some redeeming/endearing qualities.
But the ending of this book really made me do a double take. I could not believe what happened. While that character (name omitted to keep out spoilers) was never my favorite, I never thought they would do something so reprehensible, shocking, heart-breaking...can't even put it into words.
The third and final book in the Disillusionist trilogy and you more or less know what's going to happen you just don't know how.
We know th..Show More »e villain. We know the faithful love interest that goes above and beyond for his lady love. We just need to know how it all unravels. Carolyn Crane crafted a fitting conclusion to this unique story.
