She is able to give life to all the characters with different voice. You will not be disappointed with this book.

While Duncan goes to the Texas-Mexico border to fight cattle rustlers, not wanting to go with the men to Whispering Mountain to face his cousins. Lewton soon finds out that the three women are just what he is looking for, but they are not liking for anyone like him. So he ends up spending his time working the ranch, the hardest work he has ever done; but he likes the work. In the end Lewton and a ranch-hand Em have to go to the border to try to save Duncan's life. This is a great story that Jodi Thomas had written, it lives up to the rest of the stories in this series. Linda Stephens does a good job with the narration.
