The main characters Jane (the professor) and Cal (the football jock) have a wild ride from start to finish. Totally enjoyable and well read. A good break from some of the heavier books.

This by far was one of my favorite Chicago Stars books – the other being No Baby But Mine. I loved the 2 main characters in this book .. they have great chemistry together .. SEP makes you cry and laugh all in this one books.

Anna Field's narration is superb and her death is a great lose. There were several recording issues – lines being repeated.

I have since listen to ALL the Chicago Stars books – have enjoyed them all but they do tend to follow a similar story line.

O..Show More »r maybe it was recommended on one of Audible's editors' lists? It's not the kind of book I go for. It's fluffy and sweet - a predictable romantic comedy with a slightly annoying protagonist and a leading man whose name is "Heath Champion". Heath Champion. Seriously?! But despite all of this, and despite a female narrator who over reaches trying to capture the bravado of some of the male characters in the story, I really enjoyed the book. Once I was in, I was hooked. It was a great listen - that perfect romantic comedy that leaves you feeling cheered up and satisfied.

The characters are flawed and have issues and that makes them more realistic. As in all of SEP books, there is fun and snappy dialog and good sexual chemistry. The sex scenes are steamy and fun without being unnecessarily graphic like a lot of authors are doing today. As I have noted with some other SEP books, there is a primary couple, but also a love story for a secondary couple. I think April Fields does a GREAT job narrating and changing voices. She even does a fine job singing a little in this one!
