Zoe Lake is heading off to college - and she's excited. It's not a regular college, though. It's a magical college full of vampires, werewolves, ghosts, witches, sphinxes - and pretty much everything else you can imagine. Despite the monsters, it's often human nature that threatens her life most.
"Do not waste your time"
Clove Winchester is feeling lucky at life, and that's before a mysterious stranger drops into her magic store and gifts her with a special coin. Suddenly things can't go wrong for Clove, and she's the center of attention in the Winchesters' world - especially because Aunt Tillie wants that coin.
As the local editor of Hemlock Cove's only newspaper, she just happens to be present when a body is found in an area corn maze. To make matters worse, the police believe the murder may have something to do with the occult.
"Horrible narrator!!! Please get a new one!!!"
Where there's a witch, there's a way! Where there's a whole family of them, there's trouble. Bay Winchester, editor of Hemlock Cove's small weekly newspaper, thinks her small hamlet's upcoming murder mystery weekend is going to be all about fun, food, and frolicking. Instead, when another dead body is discovered in Hemlock Cove, things turn into murder, mayhem, and migraines (the latter is mostly thanks to her family, of course).
"Book is great"
Hemlock Cove is celebrating a magical birthday, and familiar faces from different places are descending on the town to participate in the party. Everyone is looking forward to the festivities except Bay Winchester, who would rather be hiding from her high school nemesis than chatting her up in the town square. Lila Stevens hasn't changed since graduation, and Bay remains her favorite target. Bay would like to ignore her, but Lila isn't making it easy - especially when she sets her sights on FBI Agent Landon Michaels.
"Alright, slightly week addition to the series"
Life's a witch...and then you die. It's the dying part vexing Bay Winchester these days. She may be a long-suffering daughter, thankless newspaper editor, and keyed-up girlfriend, but she's barely holding off a royal freak-out. Landon's family is visiting the inn - and they're not exactly open minded. Bay is on a mission to hide her witchy ways, but the discovery of a body - and the poltergeist that accompanies it - at The Overlook tips everything into turmoil.
Life is changing for Avery Shaw. She's searching for a house with her boyfriend Eliot so they can officially move in together. She's been gifted special passes to Macomb County's comic book convention - and she couldn't be more excited. She's also been put in charge of her most hated enemy at work, and the power is going straight to her head. When Eliot lets Avery visit the convention center early, the duo stumble across a dead body and Avery's happy week is thrown into turmoil.
Zoe Lake and Aric Winters are ready to say "I do". They've fought sphinxes, witches, and monster hunters - and all they want now is peace. Unfortunately, that's not so easy to find. When the wedding planners - and warring mothers - descend on their happy home, Aric and Zoe are plunged into a world they never expected.
"I kepted hoping...."
Zoe Lake is engaged - even she can't believe it. Aric Winters, the man of her dreams, has slipped a ring on her finger and asked her to pledge her future to him. She's ready - kind of. When death and destruction explode - literally - Zoe has a decision to make. Old enemies die hard, and it seems the path to happily ever after winds through Covenant College. Zoe swore she'd never return to the campus that shaped her, but if she wants tomorrow, she has to put yesterday to rest.
Aisling Grimlock is having a bad week. Well, actually, she's having a bad life - not that she's complaining. Okay, she's totally complaining. After being laid off from her secretarial position, she has no choice but to join the family business, and now she's a full-time grim reaper. That's right. She collects and transfers souls to the hereafter.
"A fun and exciting read."
Zoe Lake and Aric Winters thought they were living happily ever after. They were wrong. Five years after surviving Covenant College's final showdown, they find themselves at a crossroads. They're living together. They're happy. There is no future set in stone, though.
A storm is raging in Hemlock Cove, but it's nothing compared to the one raging in Aunt Tillie's head. An accident renders Aunt Tillie unconscious in the hospital, and when Bay and Landon fall asleep while sitting vigil, they're transported to a scary world: Aunt Tillie's mind. The couple will be shuttled through time - almost 80 years of it - and witness all of the ups and downs of Aunt Tillie's past. Have you ever wanted to see Aunt Tillie as a child? You're in luck.
"Still lovin' it"
After a long winter, spring has finally hit Hemlock Cove, and Bay Winchester thinks things are finally settling down in the town - and with her family. Unfortunately, just the opposite is true. As a way to distract Aunt Tillie, the Winchester family has decided to give her a new project: her own greenhouse. As construction starts, though, Bay is approached by a young girl - one she quickly realizes is no longer among the living - and given a task. The little girl wants her mother - and she wants Bay to find her.
"Love the story"
The cold weather is keeping most tourists out of town, which is just fine with the Winchester witches. They're using the lull as a way to recharge and take a break - even if Aunt Tillie is causing her usual havoc.
"if you love snarky witches you'll love these books"
Being a grim reaper isn't easy, but answering to family is even worse. Between argumentative souls, overbearing older brothers, and everyday nonsense, Aisling Grimlock has her hands full. When a run-of-the-mill job goes awry, Aisling finds herself in a mess. The soul she was supposed to collect is still amongst the living, and the man who wanted to kill him is dead instead.
"Gets better and better"
Avery Shaw is having a bad week. First, she had to cover a story on a barricaded gunman who likes to dance naked in his window. Second, she's receiving death threats with her morning newspaper. Lastly, and most importantly, her mom keeps vetoing her outfit choices. It's all in a day's work for this hardworking, if easily distracted, reporter. Avery Shaw is hot on the trail of the story, even if it means tangling with her hot ex-boyfriend - the county sheriff - and the equally hot, if slightly shadier pawnshop owner down the street.
"Lots of Silly Humor, Not Much Plot"
Avery Shaw is in a funny spot. Her best friend is pregnant, her cousin's girlfriend is up to something, and her boyfriend has serious issues on the brain. When teenager Sierra Jackson goes missing, Avery is in a unique position to scoop everyone. The girl's fighting family is more concerned with a messy divorce and pointing fingers than helping find Sierra, so Avery becomes obsessed with discovering her whereabouts on her own.
As a reporter for a Southeastern Michigan newspaper, Avery finds herself in trouble at every turn. She has a list of enemies - and she's not afraid to cross them. Follow her as she crosses paths with her former boyfriend, a hot new love interest, and a family that cannot be contained - even by the law.
"Wow where do I begin"
Zoe Lake is depressed. Well, at least that's what everyone keeps telling her. As she enters her junior year, she feels more numb than anything else . Between the guilt plaguing her over her former roommate's death, and the betrayal crushing her heart thanks to her ex-boyfriend Aric, Zoe is struggling to make sense of her world. Zoe finally agrees to join the Covenant College monster hunters and enlists in the Academy. The problem is, she doesn't trust them any more than she trusts the monsters they purport to hunt.
Michigan's most calamity-prone grim reaper is in a pickle, and the only one she can trust with a haunting secret is her boyfriend Griffin. Aisling is determined to find answers before she unloads a truth on her family, but when things become dangerous, Aisling's life is in jeopardy, again. The wraiths are back, and their primary goal appears to be getting their hands on Aisling. They've enlisted other supernatural help this time, and when gargoyles literally start dropping from the sky, Aisling has no choice but to be honest.
"Fun fun fun"
