Publisher's summary

It'll take more than his battle-hardened instincts to defend her....

CIA linguist Sabrin Harris's plans for a relaxing vacation went up in smoke when 26 hostages disappeared just north of her grandmother's house in Slovakia. Now, she's been called into action. Her mission is fairly simple. Not allowing herself to be distracted by the hot-as-sin ex-Australian Commando who's sent in to help and defend her will be infinitely more difficult.

Iniquus Security operative Ryder Kelly remembers Sabrin as the beautiful woman his dog picked out of the crowd at a tactical K9 competition. When they're assigned to work together, Ryder soon realizes he could fall for her just as easily as his dog Voodoo did. So, all he has to do now is keep Sabrin alive long enough to get to their happily ever after. Easy, right?

Their timing is all wrong. Romance was never part of the plan. But with enemies closing in, the fragile bond Sabrin and Ryder have formed might be all that allows them to save the day - and each other.

Contains mature themes.

Catches you right away.

The story starts with a lot of interest. Although at sometimes the readers voice became monotone.

Took a minute

I enjoyed the story, it was a lot of crime drama discussion and a whole lot of mythology. It wasn’t a bad listen. It just wasn’t fast paced, nor was there a lot of romance. I did enjoy learning about Voodoo, the K9 though.

Sabrin & Ryder have some serious Voodoo 🤭🤭🤭

Huge improvement over book 1 in this series, much better flow. Although Sabrin & Ryder have tactical trust issues, they work well together with letting secrets and mission objectives bog them down.
Once again Voodoo is a force of nature, having personally worked with animals in a more therapeutic environment, love seeing people trust their canines instincts

Wonderful characters, story, performance!

This is the 3rd book in the Cerberus Tactical K9 series. It is Ryder, Sabrin, and Voodoo's story. I love the characters, their romance, and their friendships. There is lots of intrigue and action. I love the K9s and their strength, loyalty, instinct, and intelligence. The dialogue is great and I always learn something from Fiona Quinn's books, whether it is something about nature or another culture or training dogs. I love, love, love Rupert Channing's performance of this book. All around entertaining, enjoyable book and performance.

Bana"what a crappie ending "

Had a good story going. Even with the over use of Danish mythology. thought I was lessening to lecture at times. Got way to deep into the mythology aspect. Felt like the author was showing off their knowledge mythology. The ending was a major let down. They find them, they get what they needed, and nothing. Not even a good cliffhanger. If that what was intended

made it through

1st half I didn't think I would be able to finish. 2nd half was a little better. the dog, obviously, was amazing. the FMC was also amazing almost psychic in her insights. It seemed like the MMC was mostly along for the ride. the narration sounded like a computer was reading.
