A double shot of devastating news turns Justin Evanson's life upside down. When he learns his father has cancer, and he has siblings he never knew existed, he leaves everything behind and moves to Virginia to support his dad as he tries to make amends with his family - a family Justin's not sure he has a place in. Things go from bad to worse when he discovers his recent hookup is his newfound sister's brother-in-law.

Drew Sinclair never expected to see Justin after their night at the club or to discover their family connection. If anyone found out, it would give Drew's brother another reason to hate him. But there's something about Justin that draws him in, and it's not only because they burn up the sheets together.

One meeting leads to another, and before Justin realizes it, Drew has become the only thing in his world he feels is his. And for the first time in his life, Drew knows what it means to be needed. Being there for Justin and supporting him when things spiral out of control feels right. But with so much happening so quickly, it's hard to trust their feelings. Is this thing between them real? Or just a test drive before life forces them down two separate roads?

You're going to want to read/listen to this one with the series. You might get a little lost with the family dynamic if you don't . The story is sadly sweet. Narration is better in this one but still some questionable choices for me.

Not a stand alone

Most of these gay romance audiobooks I listen to aren't very good, but this one was actually really well written! So glad u gave this one a shot!

First Good One Of These I've Listened To!

Wow, Justin and Drew were so touching. They were amazing men. Caring, strong & steady. Dealing with such emotional family drama…a dying father, siblings he didn’t know existed, is more than most could deal with, but Justin handles it with amazing grace (at least outwardly).

Drew’s care for him, and the way he puts his own feelings aside for Justin was both heartbreaking and gorgeous. But I also love the courage he takes from Justin to finally address the distant relationship he has with his brother.

It was a really great final story for this series. Such a beautiful romance.

I don't normally write comments to include with my ratings of audio books, however... This book deserves more than simply pressing a star and clicking on submit. Great story (as pretty much every Riley Hart book pretty much is) but THIS one especially hit its mark. A perfect bullseye. Justin is dealing with entirely too much at once but handles it like a champ. Enter Drew and... Well, the story line just got better and better! Buy the book. You won't regret it.

This is my favorite story so far. It made me cry so much but also had me laughing. My favorite person is still the same from my last review but I love the family and friends dynamics in the series. Is there a book about Landons friend who is coming to visit in the end of the story? If not will there be one? I would so get it!!!

So much tears and laughter

I enjoyed this one. It is definitely a more emotional story but also has a little bit of the lightheartedness to it but it deals a lot with the emotions of caring for a father that is dying of cancer. On top of that, he just found out that he had siblings that he never knew about until the cancer came up. Justin has loved his dad since he came into his life when he was a kid and he was a great dad but his world is thrown a major curveball because when he learns about the cancer and his dad dying he is also told about an older brother and sister that he has, as his dad had cheated on his then current wife with Justin's mom, then disappeared until he found out about Justin and entered their lives and married his mom. Now he wants to reconcile with his previous kids and Justin takes a leave of absence from school to go with his dad and take care of him and meet his siblings. But he doesn't exactly know how to deal with the emotions it all brings out and some of those being conflicting ones as well with anger and jealousy and where do I fit in and why was I never told until now. I thought all of this was handled really well within the story. I also loved getting to know Drew who is connected to Justin's new brother in law (sister's husband). They both were taking a night out and hookup together at a gay bar/club but never expect to be connected like they are. Drew isn't out as bi and doesn't have the best relationship with his brother (Justin's brother in law). I loved the connection between Drew and Justin though and how they supported each other and were there for each other with what the situation was. It was a bit messy and Drew really gave Justin a safe place to feel, acknowledge, and express some of those emotions he was dealing with. This was a sweet story in that aspect of things and an easy one to listen to. I really enjoyed it.
The narrator did a good job with the characters and bringing the story to life.

Emotional story, well done and enjoyable

If you could sum up Test Drive in three words, what would they be?

together at last

What about Sean Crisden’s performance did you like?

Sean Crisden just reads GREAT....

Any additional comments?

the whole series is great, books one and three are by far my favorites..... I Love the way all six men are in all three books, they make a great family... worth listening to for sure....

best book of the series

I enjoyed the first book in the series but from the second book there is less story and more sex, if you like that then you might enjoy this book, but personally I think they could have written a better story or even just cut half of the sex from the book. The pro is that the narrator is performing better than the first book.

Overly sexualized
