After divorcing the woman he'd been with since he was 17, Nick Fuller is starting over. He owns the restaurant of his dreams, and he's determined to meet new people, find new passions, and experience life to its fullest. Easier said than done - that is until he meets his new neighbor, Bryce Tanner.
Neither man has ever wanted another guy, but there's a connection between Nick and Bryce from the start - a spark they can't deny. They find themselves navigating an unfamiliar new world and dealing with unforeseen obstacles. Physical desire isn't enough, and now Nick and Bryce are at a crossroads. They have to decide which way to go: the easy path they've always followed or the one that's determined to trip them up at every turn.
Contains mature themes.

Much more than sex

This is no cookie cutter wham bam everything is hearts and rainbows. There is moments of true pain of sacrifices made for the one you love. There is strength and beauty gained from staying the course and believing that in the end what was meant to be will be.
It is a story filled with the realness of what it takes to make any relationship work and it is so beautifully told that by the end you'll be misty and have all the feels.
I have long loved Riley's work and this is proof of why.

Good Story

I am surprised I am saying this but there was a little to much sex. I’d preferred more story. But it’s a good book. I like the narrator too!
Great book

Absolutely amazing.

Two neighbours who become incredible friends. Wanting to spend all their time together, and have them be a part of their entire lives. It’s sweet, their build-up to friendship. It’s also sweet how oblivious they are to the reason for their newfound obsession with each other.
I love a slow burn, especially one that involves an ‘oh damn, that’s what I’m feeling!’ moment. Or in this case two of those moments.
I was especially taken by how committed they were to each other, even when they were questioning themselves or when others reacted poorly. It’s not that they didn’t have a lot of emotions to process or plenty of moments where they questioned whether or not they should continue, but they were always grounded by the strength of their feelings and how right it all felt in the end.
I also loved the role that sex played in their relationship. Not just that it was hot (which it was) but also appreciated their desire to explore everything, to give and take.
Narrator Sean Crisden does a really lovely job with these two guys. I really enjoyed this as an audiobook.
