This was so good! Such a great story line. I loved the plot and the characters and the sex scenes were so juicy.

The entire story was well thought out and exciting. The heroine and hero were wonderful characters. I felt all the emotions they did. I did not appreciate the narrator in the first book, but she was excellent in this one. I will definitely listen to it again!

It was an awesome story. The narrator made it more delightful to listen to. I loved how Nicholas delivered punishment to the pervert Marian was supposed to get engaged to.

Loved everything about this book and count it high on a list of favorites. Some readers complain of narration but I’ve found speed to resolve most narration issues.

I had to speed the recording up. Voice was just too slow & overly sultry for the entire book. The story was great once I got over the vocals

The story is quite different than what I’m use to, which is a good thing. However, I feel like it drags too much in the middle. A lot of unnecessary thoughts and at times I wasn’t sure who was speaking or where they were. In series like this, with the first book being so amazing I expected the second book to be ok and I was not disappointed. I loved the story it self. There was a lot of character to keep track of and the narrator used the same 2 voices for everybody. I might have had a better experience reading the actual book.

Loved the book, but had a hard time with narrator. Too dramatic. Didn’t stop me from really loving the book though. One of the few times in historical romance that the ending was a surprise. Steamy too!

The storyline is a pleasant change from the typical romance and I really enjoyed it. As usual, I did not care for this narrator. I don't like her cadence or the way she over emphasizes and draws out words. She's also a bit breathy at times and I just don't enjoy it. I listened to this at an increased speed (1.55x) to make it bearable for me. If you're looking for a mindless listen this is not the one to listen to at an increased speed though. I had to really pay attention and rewind a bit a couple of times to get the gist of who was who since there are so many characters. Overall, a great story. Enjoy!
