Greta Nilsson's trip west to save her ailing little sister, Astrid, could not have gone more wrong. First, bandits hold up her stagecoach, stealing all her money. Then, upon arriving in Fairplay, Colorado, she learns the man she was betrothed to as a mail-order bride has died. I love this book and storyline! No vulgarity or profanity and just an all round good book. There is romance and adventure and such a good storylines. I am excited to read the next book in the series.

This was my first book by the author and I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to read/listen to more. The storyline and characters were very engaging. To sacrifice your own needs for anthers and do what was best based on their needs was very inspiring and caused me to question how far would I go could I sacrifice so much of myself.

First time I’ve read this author, and glad I did! A sweet love story, vivid characters and good narration. Recommend, high morals and free of bad language. Well done!

When everything seems like "it's not going your way", and maybe it's even "out to destroy what little you have", it's time to face the facts. Either God is punishing you, which is not in His character. Or, God is trying to get your attention and remind you that He wants to walk WITH you THROUGH the storms of life! He's trying to get your attention so He can give you His best and He gets the glory!
This is such a powerful story!

This was a clean romance. It was sweet and I enjoyed it. The only character I didn’t like was the little sister.

The story line is good. The narrators voice whispering when speaking female vs louder speaking male drove me nuts!! Also the characters wishy washy thoughts drove me nuts as well!!

I enjoyed the story line for the most part. I think we could have gotten the same story with a couple of hours shaved off. There were stretches of inner thoughts that seemed to be on repeat and that got a bit frustrating. There were also a few side stories that were important to the story, and played out, however, I thought they were going to be more meaty but they weren’t.

This is all just my own opinion. Overall, I REALLY appreciate a good story without having to cringe when gratuitous foul language or sex comes up. I’m not a prude, but I really would rather not have that in my ears just to hear a good story.
