I expected too much... apparently

If you were like me and thought that this book would be where Emma shone in her full Celestial Dark Lady glory, then you like me would have been sorely disappointed. Emma stands around and does nothing but gape stupidly as people die around her then cries a lot. Eventually someone else womans up and does ALL the actual work while Emma babysits and then the last two ours is more weird bestiality porn and weddings and construction.. everything you totally want from your gods vs demons book. Sigh honestly it felt like a old school damsel in distress story, if the damsel neither saves herself nor is saved by her prince. Just some rando who was kind of lame up to this point. All of the hero stuff happens off screen and you are treated to 12 hours of some reality show about a maid taking care of five whiney kids and their psycho parents. Yes there is an explanation for all of it, but it's dumb and doesn't make up for the fact that Emma literally does nothing but play house the entire time while someone else runs around as the hero of HER story.. Lol i am not even angry at this point, just disappointed, sad , and done. This is not a good book, this series as a whole has far more lows than highs, and is so bizarrely random that there is no way to get a firm grasp on the world. i have wasted money and time on this and the only thing i have to show for it is a hole in my bank account and a loss of time. At least i can fix one of those things.
