There is an unseen power in the universe - a terrible force that was dominating the galaxy tens of thousands of years before the warlike Sh'daar were even aware of the existence of Sol and its planets.
As humankind approaches the Singularity, when transcendence will be achieved through technology, contact will be made.
In the wake of the near destruction of the solar system, the political powers on Earth seek a separate peace with an inscrutable alien life form that no one has ever seen.
But Admiral Alexander Koenig, the hero of Alphekka, has gone rogue, launching his fabled battle group beyond the boundaries of Human Space against all orders. With Confederation warships in hot pursuit, Koenig is taking the war for humankind's survival directly to a mysterious omnipotent enemy.

"The End!? )-: ????????"
The third book of the series.......
Well, I don't want to criticize but it was too anticlimactic for my taste.
Perhaps because I expected that author will break his compulsion about trilogies and write a few more books.
Despite all the facts, I still think that story line has definite continuation, but it's up to author to decide.

"Great book, great series"
This was another great Nick Sullivan performance. I really liked the first two books of this series as well, both narrated by him. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another book that he narrated.
The story in this book was a little weaker than the other two Star Carrier books, in my opinion. I found the end confusing and had to listen to it twice to really grasp why it ended. I think this is due to a weakened plot line as it seemed the author wasn't sure what he was talking about either. I loved the first two books, really great technological vision in all 3.
"Hard to put down; Book 4 on the horizon?"
Like others, I found myself wanting more at the end of this book. If Mr. Douglas has no intention of continuing the series, then he's a cruel man because there's no question this book leaves any number of possible story lines open for future exploration, pun intended.
I found this book to be an excellent continuation from the previous two books. I do feel the author could have spent more time on some of the battle strategies and planning, as he did in the first two books. At times the book did feel hollow, but those didn't last long. I found the parallels to current political debacles to be interesting and there's no question on which side of the aisle the author currently stands. But the most interesting was seeing the authors transformation from one side of the aisle to the other over the course of the three books.
I'd recommend reading/listening to all the sequentially. Singularity should not be read on it's own, it's more like more chapters from book 2 than a book all on it's own.
If the author reads these comments, I hope he will continue the series; I have really enjoyed it.
I wish I could have given it 3.5 stars for the story. It's not a 3, but it's also not a 4. Books 1 and 2 are 4s.
"Too much reiteration"
Maybe, It's too long. Could easily have been told in two books. No need for a third.

Yes, BUT for the love of GOD please do not tell us for the 100th time about how prims lived! Enough already!
The constant explanation about prim life wore thin. Is there really a need to repeat this what seemed like a 100 times throughout the trilogy? I began to dread the next inevitable passage that yet again explained what a prim was and the life a prim had.
"I want More"
Fun Exciting Action

"WOW!! Great 3rd Book"
This book has what is needed for a Great book. 1) A Great Story. 2) Great Narration. 3) Lots of Action. and 4) a good end! A 4th book would be nice but not needed.
