Publisher's summary

You don't have to be a wolf to show your claws, but it helps.

My five boyfriends - yes, five - are being much too patient with me. That's pissing a few people off. It seems that when living with a pack of wolves, there are certain expectations for the alpha's mate...and I suck at this. A few months ago, I had no idea shifters even existed! I just wanted a safe home, and this is it, although it's not at all what I imagined. When an ex-girlfriend decides to make my life a living hell, pack rules say that if I want to keep my place, I need to win my own fights. That's not easy when she's young, fit, beautiful, and a wolf. And I'm not.

But with the help of a few friends, a little medical advice, and a whole lot of pent-up sexual frustration, one thing is going very, very well. Five boyfriends really are better than one. I just have to balance them with my child and these new pack responsibilities.

Because, this was my second chance. I'd intended to learn how to be strong, but I was thinking more about having my own opinions and less about dominance challenges. I should be focusing on the bully picking on my daughter at school. The pack's children are being singled out by some kid, and that is a problem, but this woman will not leave me alone!

If I want to be strong, I need to stop letting others push me around. It's time for the claws to come out.

The Wolves Next Door series contains some profanity, consensual sex, and one adult woman who falls for multiple younger men.

Steamy and believable wolf pack

If you are wanting to slip away into a world of wolves and down right dirty naughtiness, this is your book. Well written and the narrators do an amazing job. Love that there are so many different voices. And that deep sexy male male voice that will tantalize your senses. I just wish Wolf run was a place I could move to.

Love, love this series!

I love the wolf fantasy! To be loved by five gorgeous men who basically grovel at your feet and would do anything for you no matter what, would be any women’s dream come true!
This Wolf book series is something I can lose myself in and not have to worry about all the stressors in my life. I would definitely recommend to my closest friends.

Awesome!

this book is amazing! The narrators are so good! they do an amazing job! Auryn gives a unique perspective on werewolves, and to see through the eyes of a freshly changed wolf is so cool. I love her imagination. Books one and two are so good. Now I'm off to book 3 in this trilogy. I can't wait to see what happens.

I loved it

It was a little draining with Elena, but it was short lived. All in all it was a good book.

Good listen

This was a good listen and I really enjoyed the different voices. However, I feel like the story was drawn out a little to much and that it would have been just as enjoyable in a shorten form.

Excellent

Though I wanna tell Elena to stop whining she does help make the story. Excellent read and off to book 3.

the repeation is getting so frustrating!

I want to know what happens, but i am so frustrated with the repeatative anguish and inner monologs. They constantly think she's so pretty and sweet and can't love me... and then every few chapters, we revisited the entire dilemma over again of whether or not she should change and what the risks are and what would happen... and then that would last for a few chapters before we moved on to another development in the actual story. This whole series could have been one book if they would stop repeating the same issue!! I want to see what happens, but I fear I will end up skipping chapters.

Great story, but...

I liked the story, but MC is annoying with all of her inner angst.
She waffles back and forth so much and acts like she has a foot in the grave because she 40. A good 6 hours of listening time could've been reduced if the story didn't constantly go back to her indecisiveness. The storyline and other characters are great, and I will read the next one to see what happens. I would recommend, just know she MC is annoying, lol.

3.5 stars

The actual story arc is good - the “romance” can be a little much. This series is different in the way the wolf shifter “packs” are run. All the beta’s mate the Alpha partner too or the beta’s stay single or step down as betas. A different dynamic than I’ve seen before.
All in all, an interesting second book.
Narration is done really well with some voices I’m familiar with. Look forward to listening to book 3.
