Publisher's summary

Their union is her downfall....

Aurora is a virgin, but she’s certainly not innocent. She knows the cutthroat Wolf King ceremony that pits female wolves against each other isn’t about finding a suitable consort for Steele. It’s an indulgent animalistic display of passion and power.

However, if she avoids the ceremony, her father’s kingdom will become Steele’s. It doesn’t mean she will lower herself to his questionable standards. In fact, she’ll go to any lengths to lose, because she already has Griffin, a far superior suitor, waiting for her.

Then Aurora is chosen, and her world is thrown upside down. Steele is brutal, untamed, ruthless, and demanding. But that’s not what scares her the most—it’s their undeniable attraction.

If Aurora is to survive the savage wolf court and Steele’s attentions, she must protect her heart at all costs. Long enough for Griffin to launch a rescue party, and for her to live through the battle she knows is coming....

Good Story

I know there are a lot of negative reviews and how many do not like the main character. But I liked her. She is real. It would be so hard to feel like everyone who was supposed to love you was just using you and you didn’t know where to turn. Yea she can see redeeming qualities in the king but she doesn’t trust herself to trust him because she has been burned before. That’s a lot to take in. I am excited to listen to the rest of the story.

Great well done story.

Intriguing story. Both romantic and mysterious. Really pulls you into the story. Can't wait to listen to the sequel.

Wolf King

This is the first book in the Wolves of the Night series. This is the first Lindsey Devin book I have listened to. I really enjoyed this book. Reina is the daughter of King of Daybreak pack. The king of Nightfall pack is holding a mate choice competition. Reiner's father is forcing her to be the represent Daybreak. She doesn't want to be chosen. Her dream is to see the world. I was n ok t ready for this book to end. I can't wait for book two. Allie Martina did a fantastic job narrating this book.

So so

I’m gonna listen to book 2 bc I don’t have to pay close attention. FMC is stupid - she doesn’t explain her background clearly to king. I got tired of gown descriptions & meal descriptions & girly stuff. The characters are childish & everything is oooh so sweet. I prefer stronger characters & a stronger story. But like I said, I’ll listen to one more book.

Wolf King 🤴

okay this is a really good start to a series. but what the heck is wrong with Raina she is really pissing me off a bit. I don't understand why she's acting like that, even after she found out the truth about her so called boyfriend and father did. All the king has done is show her how much he cares and loves her, and she keeps breaking his heart. ahhhh so frustrating I just want to slap her and knock some sense into her. 😒😒 but to be honest I can't wait for the next book. I'm so looking forward to it. and like always my girl Allie Martina dose a wonderful job .

Forever enemies-Sad

Overall I liked the story but the female lead kinda upset me. She is a strong smart character but she is very ignorant too and kinda did whine a lot I felt. I did enjoy all the other characters though they were great.

Fabulous Wolf Shifter Paranormal Romance With Intrigue!

Reyna, forced to take part in the King’s Choice Challenge for a Queen by her father, has a plan! Unfortunately, King Elias has a mind of his own! He know what he wants when he sees it, and he’s not about to be deterred in this beautifully written and fabulously narrated Paranormal Wolf Shifter Adventure Romance. I’ll not be going into details for fear of playing spoiler, but be prepared to be engaged by a magnificent plot, fascinated by beautifully defined, interesting characters covering the full spectrum of likability, enthralled by stunning, believable, emotional, heartfelt narration, and kept on the edge of your seat by plot twists, turns and betrayals until the final credits roll! Wolf King earns five fabulous stars across the board! I can’t wait for the next one in this brilliant series to come out! I loved it!

Tedious main character

This main character makes my teeth clench. Whiny tedious and inconsistent Unable to finish the book because the story stalled on her “complaints” for far too long.

Interesting plot

Didn’t care for narrators’ version of a male voice. Sounds horrible. Hard to stay interested when the “male” voice is spoken.

Decent until…

Everything was going good, I’m not too fond of the narrators voice but she was ok, but towards the end the fmc started to disgust me.. the way she was acting was stupid and made no sense with the rest of the book.. he’s really the only one she could trust from how it was written, but no she has to act like a stupid little child who didn’t get her way.. ruined the story
