Decent narration

I enjoy this author. Story was ok and narration is good. I’ll continue to listen yo her work.

It’s ok

Narrator is annoying (she changes up her monotone, but never in the right places). Sorry has potential, but there are too many gaps.

Loved this book. The narrator is my favorite. To me, the narrator is everything.

fabulous!

Altho this specific genre remains my favorite I can admit that there are only so many ways you can spin a regency romance after a while. yet I found this one quite thoroughly enjoyable... it held my attention from word one to the last.... it's become difficult to stay engaged with a story that has begun to be familiar no matter that I have never seen it before, who wrote it, or how long ago. But enjoying this one gives me hope that my favorite guilty pleasure is still.

Not as good as expected

I felt the story line was good but the characters were too unbelievable nit figuring out who the bad guy was

I've recently become a fan of Shana Galen. I'll shop for my 3rd book and am hopeful that I'll find another one narrated by Heather Wilds!

Too long

I liked the initial story thinking it had the potential to be a little different - less formulaic. Unfortunately the story line tended to be predictable, for example you could spot the “bad guy” as soon as he was introduced into the story. I did appreciate the approach to the issue of relationship violence. The author created a believable, albeit horrifying, scenario addressing how violence escalates during the relationship, the impact on the victim’s self esteem, and future relationships. Issues of trust were realistically depicted for both the main characters especially how the inability to trust effects communication, misunderstandings, and conflict. Both character’s emotional problems were interwoven into the plot and subsequent decisions. Although commendable it took away from the smuggling storyline and slowed the action down. I recommend this audio book and will read/listen to other books by this author.

I wish there were more Shana Galen books in audio format. This one was delightful! A regency romance with spies thrown in make for a most enjoyable story. With great characters and SG's excellent writing skills, we have a book that I couldn't put down. I highly recommend it.

ENJOYABLE READ

Most of it was believable and entertaining, it never dragged. Loved the diversity in personalities, narration was good, easy to tell the difference in characters . Highly recommend this book.
