Publisher's summary

Creep. Freak. Crazy eyes.

I've heard it all.

Over the years, they've slammed me with every demeaning name in the book.

Their taunts warped me like a steady stream of poison.

Anger replaced anxiety as I started believing the cruelty spat my way.

Until she showed up and changed everything.

Lennon Bennett is pure innocence - warm sunshine breaking apart my stormy existence.

She's everything good and maybe I can be too.

For her. With her. Because of her.

Lennon doesn’t know I’m beckoned closer with each breath.

She isn't aware that I'm completely consumed with her.

It’s become my sole purpose to protect her, by any means necessary.

But if she discovers the depth of my obsession, it will be the end of me.

So, I remain in the shadows. Waiting. Watching. Wanting.

She'll be my first. My last. My only.

Watch Me Follow is a total standalone new adult romance.

Unexcepted

This demonstrates how your past can affect your future directly or indirectly. The characters in this story-line have a baseline that can end in failure

I just want to cuddle Ryker! 🥰

New author for me. Loved this sweet and gushy first love romance full of feels, deep insecurities, and ridiculous parentals 🙄. I know I've said it in other posts, but I ❤ me a hot shy guy!
Warning for bullying.

Just Okay For Me

I don’t know why, but I have had the hardest time with the last couple of Harloe’s books. I couldn’t finish the last two and I’m not sure if it was the writing or the actors she chose for the books. She also makes her female character either very “Pollyanna” or helpless, which can be very aggravating at times.

This was sort of a sweet story and what I mean by that is it is a little creepy. It’s hard to believe any woman would be that okay receiving gifts from someone she doesn’t know and also not minding a stalker. I did push through this book though, and it has a happier ending despite the fact these two characters had horrible childhoods. It’s just that one looked on the brighter side of things and the other became bitter.

Totally recommend

What a fascinating premise. Harloe Rae takes an interesting look at two individuals who were both mistreated as children, one ignored so much that he turned invisible, the other over-protected so much she couldn’t breathe. Fate steps in and puts them on the same path; a path where Ryker becomes a hero and obsessed and Lennon becomes curious and smitten. Years pass, life goes on. Obsession turns to stalking and a compulsive need to always have Lennon in his site. What happens when Lennon faces her fear and talks to a man? Can Ryker stop stalking and start living?

Really, Harloe Rae gave this psychology grad an amazing book to really ponder and analyze. But putting that aside, I was shocked to feel the sweetness that oozes off the pages of Watch Me Follow. If ever there was a sweet and charming stalker... it was Ryker. My only real complaint is I’d have loved a bit more depth on both their childhoods. I feel like we tipped the iceberg of their problems. I mean, they both had some pretty massive hurdles to face. It’s just a snap, and now Ryker can talk to any and everyone?

The narrators, Nathan Everett and Shani Petroff, we’re both enjoyable to listen to. Lennon really ran the gamut of emotions and her narrator, Shani, did a great job showing them. You could feel the frustration and joy as she felt them. Nathan was a great Ryker. Even though he’s a big guy and you’d think he’d have a deep and strong voice, I’m glad he doesn’t. It fits more with the personality and his struggles.

A cute, sweet stalker is what all girls want!

I thought this book was going to be a little more kinky than it was, but I'm still satisfied regardless. The inadvertent emotional manipulation bothered me a bit but since these two were able to work through it I found nothing else to complain about besides the absolute cheesiness in this book. The stalker become lover story isn't one I come across every day but I feel like Lennon in the sense that I and probably many others could only hope to find someone so devoted and in love with them that they find it difficult just to be apart. If you're looking for something dark and gritty, this isn't exactly it despite the sad story of Ry's childhood and to be real, Lennon's sob story about being sheltered as a child didn't exactly move me to tears. It's more about how these two fall so fast when they finally make themselves open to the possibility of a future with each other. Like I said, it's sweet, a little too sweet in a way from what I'm used to, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Also, the bumps they have to deal with are pretty tiny in the grand scheme of things, just normal life stuff. This is really a feel good story about finding love so deep you know it was meant to be.

smooth writing style with good voice &description

Good story. the author has great descriptions and a powerfull emotional connection to the characters. But it moved way to quickly. I felt like they met and boom love. Also the stocking stuff bothered me. that is a huge sign of bad things and I feel like this romanticize it. I have children and would not want then getting the idea that is ok behavior.

I loved Lennon and Ryker!!

These narrators completely slayed this narration! I fell in love with Lennon and Ryker! They couldn't of been more perfect for each other. The narration was also perfection! Such strong emotion in every word.

2.5 stars

I started out really loving this book. The unknown stalker half of the book was great, and I was here for it. But once she confronted him, it got sappy really fast, changing the entire tone of the book. I remember thinking at one point, "where is the conflict?" because there is no way we get half of a book of them just being in love. But guess what? We did. And I just found it boring, especially after how captivating the beginning was. I think the final saving grace was the narration, both new to me narrators, were great
