Publisher's summary

USA Today and Amazon top 10 best-selling author Harloe Rae delivers a heartfelt romance featuring a jaded single father and the woman desperate to rescue him from the clutches of grief.

“Give your heart to a man worthy of the claim.” That’s been his constant excuse for keeping distance between us. Little does he know that I’m his for the taking. If only he’d have me. Nolan Jasper has been my broody neighbor for almost six years. I’ve been hopelessly infatuated with him just as long. The bond I have with his little girl only serves to strengthen that hold.

Since they moved in that stormy night, I’ve been trying to restore what was lost. I would do just about anything for those two. Acting as Nolan’s reliable doormat is getting old, though. Especially when he seems incapable of accepting love.

I’m finally willing to admit that man is a lost cause. He's too broken. Jaded. Withdrawn. Nolan Jasper has pushed me away for the last time. If only he would realize it before I’m already gone.

Sugary sweet

Well, I can’t really find any major fault with this story. The only fault, and it’s my personal opinion, is that it was just too much sugary sweet. Nolan was so angsty the first half of the book and to do a 180 like that totally gave me whiplash. I was waiting for some big drama to happen in the latter part of the book, and something kinda did, but it wasn’t big. Not enough drama throughout the book for me. Once they got together it was pretty much Tally’s book.

Maybe I’m just jaded…lol! I really like Harloe’s books…I’ve read too many Dark Romances recently 🤦🏼‍♀️!

Give this one a try if you like HEA’s, sweet little girls hyping up their dad (Tally is adorable), and a broody single dad with a sunshiny single neighbor who tells it like it is.

The narrators were great!

Single dad romance.

Slow burn romance that’s very entertaining with a sweet, energetic little girl and her dad. Nolan is Clea’s next door neighbor, she helps him out with his little girl since he’s a single dad and she falls in love with him. The story delivers a lot of angst and funny conversations that keeps me engaged in the story. Enjoyable story.

Tally is the cutest!!

Yes!! I love this one by Harloe Rae. Ryan West and Vanessa Edwin were the perfect Nolan and Clea. I loved the Nolan despite his not so likeable start. This story made me laugh and it’s just so sweet and fun. The performance by the narrators was spot on and I recommend this one!
