Publisher's summary

Would you kill to save a life?

In order to save those closest to him, Tristan has stepped closer to darkness.

In order to save Tristan, Simon must do the impossible.

When Monty uses blood magic, he enters a schism - which puts him, and everyone close to him, in mortal danger. His use of blood magic has alerted the Black Orchid, a mage sect tasked with apprehending and eliminating dark mages.

Now, Simon, with help from Monty’s closest allies and family, must find a way to stop him from going over to the darkness. If they fail, Monty will surrender to darkness, the Black Orchid will attempt to eliminate him, and Evers will be one step closer to her goal: the destruction of magic.

No one said it was ever easy in the Montague & Strong Detective Agency.

The continuing story line of the Montague and Strong Detective Agency and the great job the voice actor does!

I love this series, as well as Mr Sanchez's other books. I keep coming back to Simon, Monty & Peaches though, to re read them or listen for the first time. The stories are well written, well paced and Simon is my hero of sarcasm! Listening to them is such a treat and by re reading them or hearing them, even for the first time I find I learn new things from each book every time. Thank you Orlando Sanchez for such wonderful books!

Another hit

Love the story. I really enjoyed this one because we got a little more of Simon. I especially liked the part where Uncle Dex got in Simon's face about "not being a mage" Seriously at that point I was screaming the exact words at the book lol. Can't wait for the next one

I wish I could rate this one as six stars

This book is a perfect example of why Audible can be such a fantastic thing. Walking the Razor is an amazing read but Kevin T Collins lifts this book to greater heights.

The feels as Simon aligns his energy signature were sufficiently intense that while listening you nearly feel Simon's pain. Scary, angry Dex is scary. Watching Tristan dance on the Razor's edge had me on the edge of my seat.

Do yourself a favour, even if you don't normally Audible, this book is the perfect starting point.
