Book is Excellent if you can get by the Performanc
It took several times in small listen to get by the performance. End up ordering the book and reading- which I extremely enjoyed. Performance- voice is high pitch like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Story was alright. Narration painful.
The story was alright. I liked it, but didn't love it. Not much excitement but good when nothing else is on.

Pretty Good
I enjoyed this book. I liked that the heroine was, beautiful, intelligent, and independent. I didn't like the way she allowed the governess to punk her. She should have punched that heifer in the nose. I also didn't like the way the hero allowed the villain to shoot him. He should have punched that idiot in the throat.

Story was okay, ruined by narration
The plot was a bit weak, but okay. However, the overal book was ruined for me by the narration. The narrator's voice was nasally and she spoke either too fast or too slow, and the male voices did not sound male at all. Also, it seemed that almost every chapter the heroine was jumping into bed with her lover; just seemed gratuitous rather than an organic part of the plot. I won't be reading any more of this series.
