Publisher's summary

Erik Mitchell traveled the world uncovering art fraud and relic theft, which pitted him against spoiled billionaires, unscrupulous collectors, mobsters, and cartels. He worked with law enforcement across the US and Europe, but then a sting goes wrong, Erik ends up injured and returns to find his partner cheating. He decides to stop globetrotting and buy an antique shop in scenic Cape May, New Jersey, rebuild his life, and nurse his broken heart.

Undercover Newark cop Ben Nolan went down in a hail of bullets when a bust went sideways, after a tip-off from a traitor inside the department. When he recovers, he spends a couple of years as a private investigator, only to tire of seeing the worst of human nature. So when his aunt offers him the chance to take over her rental real estate business in Cape May, it seems too good to be true. Now if he could just believe he could ever be lucky again in love.

Sparks fly when Erik and Ben meet. But when a cursed hotel's long-ago scandals resurface, the two men are pulled into a web of lies, danger, and deception that will test their bond - and might make them Cape May's newest ghosts!

Contains mature themes.

A little too melodramatic at times

The story didn't grab me and carry me away like the Badlands series did and I found it a bit too melodramatic, but that could be because of the actor doing the narration.

Narration just makes it better

I am a huge fan of Morgan Brice/Gail Martin's huge shared world in the paranormal scene. Absolutely love it. The characters are all amazing and the stories well crafted. All books are connected but each series can be read on its own. If you look them all up it just enhances your knowledge of their world. I highly recommend these books if you like supernatural/paranormal modern books. This is the first story centered around Ben and Erik and I can't wait for more!!!

Believable and Enchanting

John Solo who narrated the story is amazingly talented. Brice has snagged me as a faithful audience. I look forward to more of the soul mates Eric !Mitchell and Ben Nolan. Well done!

Good start to a new series-within-a-series

This story is a spin-off in the Morgan Brice/Gail Z Martin world of mediums, psychics, and immortal creatures. As I prefer to read and listen to MM stories I’m more familiar with the work the author does under her Morgan Brice pseudonym. In fact, her Badlands series (one of the characters of which is mentioned in this book) are some of my favorite audiobooks. While it can be listened to/read as a stand-alone, I would have been a bit lost in a few parts if I didn’t know the author’s other series. (Plus it’s always fun when you get to see old “friends” pop in.) John Solo’s voice acting is, once again, excellent. I did not read the book as I knew I would enjoy the audiobook with the life this narrator brings to a story.

Good story. Good narration.

I enjoyed the plot and the characters. Morgan Brice usually has some interesting stories to tell, and the characters are people I would like to meet. I would appreciate a little more show, and a little less tell in the story.

The narration was nicely performed, and John Solo's different voices suit the characters.

Treasure Trail by Morgan Brice

Treasure Trail by Morgan Brice
1st book in the Treasure Trail series. Paranormal M-M romantic mystery. Cross-over with other series (Badlands and Witchbane) by the author and links under Gail Z Martin. You don’t need to read those series to enjoy this book.
An antique shop, a box of items from an auction, an old clock, and a bit of psychic ability stir up potential danger for shop owner Erik Mitchell in Cape May, NJ. Erik and his new boyfriend Ben find themselves involved with cold case files because of their similar former law enforcement backgrounds and strange events around the local old hotel.

An intriguing paranormal ability and an instant love connection make this read steamy and captivating.

Awesome story-line with terrific characters create a outstanding listen! I so enjoyed this narration... he really brought the characters to life for me!

I absolutely was immediately caught up in the plot and i really fell in love with these MC's. They are so very likable and interesting men, you just want to get to spend lots more time with them. Erik and Ben have an amazing connection and i am so looking forward to more mysteries to solve and more relationship to explore.

I really enjoy Morgan Brice's writing and how the story unfolds with just the right pacing and the scenes keep you totally engaged. We were introduced to some really great supporting characters that i so want to get to know much better.
