Great book to listen to. Both content wise and the narrator’s voice. It was music to the ear.

Excellent Read for Parents

Very informative specially if you are a parent. It opens your eyes to many parts of a child’s feelings and how to raise them or help them with trauma

Informative but triggering

I was abused physically as child 3-5 grades. I got this book to help me understand and hopefully heal. I was unable to make it past the first few chapters. Even repeatedly trying but did not make it because it was highly triggering. I am going to start again. This time only doing one chapter at a time. My therapist recommended a book on EMDR to read that was similar in triggering. EMDR is great for PTSD. But for Complex PTSD only opened up more trauma for me. If you do get triggered about your childhood, I would definitely recommend this book as a Marathon not a sprint:
