Twisted and surprises

Good Book
This was a great addition to the series. It was interesting to see how the author combined the protagonist past and what had happened with her Mom. The maliciousness of people in this small town ruined lives. The tongue is a brutal sword, often cutting deeper and with lasting wounds than an actual one. Great job! Excellent narration

Trail of Destruction by Tracy Buchanan is the third in the Forest Grove Suspense series. I felt okay about the first one, loved the second, and likely would have enjoyed the third if a different narrator was used. The end of Part 1 is shocking but the culprit for Part 2 is obvious (at least to me). I like the gossip but HATE that the things that happen are addressed as pranks. Where is the accountability?
Lucy Rayner is not a narrator I like. She says the last word in a sentence in a way that is unnatural and grating. She ruined the story for me and is why I rate it 2 stars.

kind of dumb....
This seems like it's a story that was written 100 years ago, but she tried to make it modern by adding the Facebook postings aspect.
A silly story and certainly not worth the read, which is unfortunate because I've liked some of her other books.
