She speaks in a way that makes sense!

I literally think she’s talking directly to me because this is the only author who has actually put me into motion! I AM THE TORTOISE!

I Think I’ve Purchased All Dana’s Books!!!

Through buying and listening and reading all Dana’s books, it’s taking me almost a year to really declutter! I have to study and listen to these super wonderful narratives and funny experiences to gain the knowledge of how to cope with “the chronic mess”. I read Marie Kondo and tried to fold my socks to look like a library. What is wrong with miss toy Kondo? Dana speaks to me and I’m beginning to “get it” at last.

Terrific Author & Audible Presentation

This book is highly motivating. The time limit for this book is perfect to work at decluttering while listening at the same time. For me it is guided motivation because Ms. White can thoroughly explain processes, systems, and feelings associated with stubborn clutter. Additionally, having her as a friend mentor is so valuable. The story analogy of The Tortoise and the Hare sums up the thought processes needed for success. I am so grateful! Thank you.

Slow & Steady Works

I love the concept of “Put Away Now” because it is guaranteed to work within the time frame that I have on each day or each month. It doesn’t matter because each time frame results in “better’ than before & better is good.
Since I suffer from chronic pain everyday, I too can still achieve success a little bit at a time. That’s a must in this time of my life. It’s great to know that as long as I am slow and steady, this method can still work for me
I really do enjoy listening to Dana discuss the problems at hand. She always makes me laugh and that makes listening to audiobooks so much fun.

Exactly what I needed to hear…

Finally, I have found help for someone with CFS and ADHD! This author makes no assumptions that the reader/listener is a normal, messy person.
Sometimes “Messy” has co-morbids.

Good points

Decluttering is a pain. And pulling everything out of a space and putting it into a pile is great if you have the time and are self-motivated or have a professional. But for the everyday person it tends to make it overwhelming. Too many memories, emotions, or regrets can brings things to a halt. One item at a time works for me. Sometimes, in a day, it’s 50 items and others it’s just one. It’s still progress.

Very helpful

I felt like she understood what I went through when I tried to do huge cleaning sessions. I’m now beginning to accept the slow and steady pace of cleaning and decluttering.

slow and steady wins the race!

progress is made one item at a time. a great reminder that even though doing one task at a time (and completing it) may not feel like you are making progress, it is. you don't get the immediate wow factor. you do get to the finish line without overwhelming yourself.
