When the past haunts Mary, will she live long enough to make it right?

Mary escaped the horrific clutches of Victor Del Avilasto, a man hell-bent on leaving no loose ends. Before Victor’s dead body is buried in the Denver cemetery, her past comes alive. What she thought well behind her in Kansas City, is now in front of her with revolvers and a hangman’s noose.

Ross Montgomery was with Mary when they escaped Victor’s clutches. Mary saved his life. This rough around the edges woman captured his heart, but before he could strum up the courage to call on her, she’s taken. Will Ross be able to save Mary before it’s too late?

My favorite so far in the Siri’s

At 20 years old Mary has been used abused neglected and left to fend for herself at a young age. Ross all the good or the phone his self in mandatory employment with the gang leader who didn’t take no for an answer. After this game later kidnaps Mary and Ross and put them in an underground mud hut. After getting to know each other they eventually escape and Ross get shot. That’s where this book takes off. Audrey because of Marie and Ross is heroic actions and because he is such a nice person gives Marie and Ross not only a job but unbeknownst to Audrey a chance to turn around and do good somethings they both want. Unfortunately for Marie despite the gang leader being dead she has another skeleton in her closet that doesn’t want to stay put in this time he’s bringing along his wife who I couldn’t stand by the way. I must admit a few times in this sweet and clean historical romance my heart was palpitating. That usually doesn’t happen and sweet romance is as reaction it’s made so predictably that there’s no need to have your heart palpitating it’s too predictable. Well that’s not the case with this book one time I even had to get up and paste my hallway, Because I wanted Mary to get away so bad. I love this book so much and. Mary’s internal dialogue with though LOL funny she had me giggling throughout the book. At the end though again I need to teach you. This is my all-time favorite sweet and clean romance I absolutely love this book and highly recommend it. As for the narrator this time a man narrated the book and I think I like that more. I really enjoyed his narration and hope he does more of these books in the future.

Sweet Historical Romance

Another amazing tale in this western series! This is Mary's story. The thief in Book 1 gets a second chance at life and love!
The narrator is the same as book one, so my same critique applies, but I did like this narration better.

Sweet Story

Mary was a very hard to like character. She did have a good heart as the book's progression showed us. She had a rough life and was doing the best with what she had and what she knew. I loved that at the end she had goals as how she wanted to better herself. The narration left me not impressed. The pacing and pauses were awkward as was the quality. But... it's a small thing to deal with for a sweet and clean book.
