Publisher's summary

Leah Vasquez and Victoria Lockwood should not fall in love.

They're smart enough to know a star-crossed lovers situation never works. Leah's a loner from the poor side of town, working two jobs, and aching to leave their sleepy hometown in her rear view forever. Victoria lives in a mansion with her overbearing parents, surrounded by friends and known to none of them, living what others consider a charmed life. When Leah rescues Victoria from a freak rainstorm, they discover an unexpected understanding, and an undeniable spark.

Leah Vasquez and Victoria Lockwood should not fall in love, but they do.

Five years after their summer romance flames out, Victoria returns home to visit her dysfunctional family, fiance in tow. She's shocked to find Leah never left town, and more surprisingly, neither did their feelings for each other. Still hurt over how Victoria ended things Leah resists any reconciliation, despite how hotly the embers of their love burn.

Leah Vasquez and Victoria Lockwood definitely should not fall in love . . . again.

Of course, even if Leah can open her bruised heart to the only girl she ever loved, Victoria must make a life-changing choice: love safely or love bravely.

Wonderful love story

Wow! What a great listen. So much turmoil and angst, with coming to terms with being gay. A very
real coming out story. Not everyone has an understanding family. Although there are examples of both in
this well written and performed story.
I have never read or listened to anything by this author, but I can’t wait to find something more by her.

A beautiful story

This was a beautiful story! The beauty of young love. The sadness and angst of young love betrayed by youthful fear. The beauty of finding love again and forgiveness. The overall achievement of happily everlasting! A beautiful story. The narration was also a beautiful piece. Well done!

Not So Sure

The narrator was on point. The story started off decent enough. I however and this is just my opinion I would have liked Meyers to win I really liked her character. The main ones kinda didn't like em. As weird as it sounds the book was worth it.

A Beautiful Story

A beautiful story about resilience and never being anything but your authentic self. Some take longer than others but in the end it’s the only way to live and be happy. Narrator was very good, recently I’ve been questioning why some authors choose narrator’s who ruin there books, 😝 not the case here. Thank you for a wonderful story

Beautiful love story

I absolutely and this story. Strong story line, excellent diversity. this story kept me engaged and wanting to listen to it all night long. I love each character even the one crazy character. I love books that has both a story line and keeps wanting to listen and not fall asleep on it. I am getting to know TJ Oshea's books. I hope you have more like this one with a different story. I absolutely love Amy Deuchler as narrator. Excellent Book.

Excellent Listen

So enjoyed how the author relates to the unfortunate prejudice when lives are different from what others except. Thank you for writing this and keeping it real.

I loved this book

The ups and downs the well written story, the wonderful MC, and actually the differences between the parents of the MC. I don’t usually like books about very young women, but this didn’t feel like many other books of the genre, maybe because the narrator who BTW was excellent, didn’t give them that annoying voice.
