worth the wait !!

i’ve been waiting for this amazing story to join its companions on audible for years — and I was not disappointed once it did, This book was the gateway into Faerie for me so many years ago; it remains among my favorites to this day, along with other works of Holly Black. How I missed Kaye & Roiben!

First Faerie book ever when it came out.

I discovered the original book in 2002 and still have it to thus day. Tithe was the book that started my journey to the world of Holly Black. she isnand always be m favorite author because of this book.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. Holly Black is a brilliant writer. Her storytelling lifts the veil to the magical realm. Her characters are edgy but relatable. I love that you hear the story from several characters points of view.

Fun fantasy story

Read this when I was in high school . A fun read. If you love faeries you’ll be into this one.

Solid--a classic example of Holly Black's Genius

Gorgeously constructed, organic worldbuilding, relatable characters, immersive plot, dialogue that propels the story forward, excellent audiobook narration--a 5 star read. Will read again. Highly recommend this series to any fan of Holly Black, V.E. (Victoria) Schwab, Neil Gaiman, or Krystal Sutherland.

Great book, Unsatisfying ending

I did enjoy the book. Didn't like the ending. I feel like she left so many threads hanging. What about her mom? What about him and his new role? What about Kaye and her new discovery about herself? I feel like i needed few more chapters to flesh out the end of the third act.

Edit Im reading Valiant thinking thats the end of our heros stories, nope theres a third book which ties all of them together. So nevermind, still think more story could have been told here but theres a whole nother book which is cool!

This narrator drove me insane

Love the book. The narrator drives me insane with her pronunciation, I had to stop listening.

Never a disappointment from this author!

I do not know how she can so completely invent with her writing so very many creative and provocative worlds with characters who make you forget they are not real people! Or real in any way! Love this story! Another audiobook I will never regret buying!
