Biased and positive

Normally I hate mech stories, gundam may have been largely responsible for my distaste. However I may now need to reevaluate my opinion, this book is well written and the mechanics of the world building have my attention more than I would have thought. Very well done and Royal Guard only gets better and better as their narrators and authors improve as well.

A Surprisingly Very Fun Mech Adventure.

A Harem Mech Fantasy seems like it would be an uncomfortably quirky story, but it actually turned out to be an entertaining experience.

Daryl Mayfield and Jess Trepanier performed very well. Mayfield's narrating emphasized the free-form writing style of the book, and Trepanier made all her characters sound unique (one of the explicit scenes was a little tough, but still passable XD).

An underdog MC is given a new lease on life and trying to make the best in a world of mages and mechs. The MC is a grounded, low-key, go with the flow character that knows when to stand his ground. His personality blends well with strong willed, stoic, and/or free spirited crew he falls in with. There are a lot of enjoyable moments between the group. Whether they're cracking jokes with each other or cracking heads of bad guys, every moment was simply fun. The story, as a whole, is pretty linear, but that isn't meant to be taken as a negative in this situation nor does it take away any enjoyment.

Overall, this was a refreshing fantasy with narrators that brought a level of enjoyment to a story I didn't think I'd appreciate.

not perfect, but a lot better than expected.

you like magic and Mecha? it's a good listen with a decent start and just enough world building to make you want to know more. the performances are funny and can be a bit cringe when not focused on the bigger picture of the story.

it's a decent story. not really what I usually go for, decided to check it and it was alright.

Awesome story and narration

As the title states the narration for this book is superb. As for the story mechs is exactly what this genre needed, if I wasn't convinced before I am now. Usually when the mc is Isekaied I worry about them being too cringy. This book skirts that nicely too the point that it hilarious without being cringy. My biggest gripe would be that the characters fell a little flat near the party the harem shenanigans start. sorry from that I really enjoyed the book and look forward to the next one.

I enjoyed the unique steam punk fantasy mech combat along with the women that are around the MC

Good Read

Really good story line Edie Skye did an awesome job writing it! Daryl and Jess did an amazing performance narrating it!!!

Battletech + magic and hot women

Fun easy intro to a new series and world where people pilot giant mechs powered by magic and we also get steamy romance scenes that don't fade to black.

Our MC gets isekai'd to another world where they fight big monsters using giant mechs powered by magic.
Now he needs to figure out his place is in this new world he finds himself in.

Good solid dual narration.

Only minus is the length. For a first entry I prefer longer books so the author has time to build up the new world. This book doesn't feel rushed, but it could still have been a few hours longer.

a rollercoaster worthy of six flags

a great title executed perfectly. the narrators and author created a title I couldn't put down. it helped the work day fly by. I don't really enjoy Mecha genre but this sucked me right in. only bad thing is volume 2 isn't available yet. 10/10
