Publisher's summary

The funny, heartwarming, and completely charming first novel from Liane Moriarty, the number one New York Times best-selling author of Nine Perfect Strangers and Big Little Lies.

Lyn, Cat, and Gemma Kettle, beautiful 33-year-old triplets, seem to attract attention everywhere they go. Together, laughter, drama, and mayhem follow them, but apart, each is dealing with her own share of ups and downs. Lyn has organized her life into one big checklist, Cat has just learned a startling secret about her marriage, and Gemma, who bolts every time a relationship hits the six-month mark, holds out hope for lasting love.

In this wise, witty, and hilarious novel, we follow the Kettle sisters through their tumultuous 33rd year as they deal with sibling rivalry and secrets, revelations and relationships, unfaithful husbands and unthinkable decisions, and the fabulous, frustrating life of forever being part of a trio.

Another fun read from this author!

Thoroughly enjoyable story of grown triplets and their family. Appealing characters and snappy dialogue. Unfortunately the narrator recited in a colorless monotone other than when there was dialogue, making it a bit difficult to follow the story. But it’s well worth the effort so don’t let this deter you.

Poor narration

The narrator seems to slightly change accents within the same character! There are vague British, Australian, Italian, Russian???? No change in intonation with change of characters. Not good! Annoying!

Not one is Liane’s best

Ending very oddly for a LM book..I felt like the book very unfinished to me.

Showing it’s age

I am a big fan of Liane Moriarti but this book seems to be before she really hit her stride. There are a lot of out of date references to palm pilots and emails back and forth. I wouldn’t recommend for young readers who have no idea what those things are. Overall, still good though.

Story was ok

It was a little distracting the was the narration of the book can jump to a strangers perspective while listening. Maybe if you were ready it the transfer would be more fluid. The characters were ok. You don’t really like or hate any of them, just kind of indifferent.

Sisters

As one of 5 sisters I was really looking forward to this book. I enjoyed it, but it took me quite a while to understand who was speaking, whether it was one of the sisters, a waitress, or another diner. I finally got the hang of it and enjoyed the story. But I think reading it is probably better than listening to it.

A Lot of Nonsense

didn't have enough follow through with all of the various characters. Overall I really didn't like it that much.

Kept me laughing out loud from start to finish! The writing was great and really expressed the honest love between sisters their family and friendships.
