Publisher's summary

After discovering the ability to improve items by opening portals into them, Caleb's life has changed completely. With an elf girlfriend from a fantasy world, as well as his own childhood sweetheart, things are looking up.

When the reality of his elf girlfriend's debts become clear, Caleb offers to help pay them off. It'll mean crossing the threshold into the Wyrdworld and meeting with her vampiric creditors. To say Caleb is a little tentative would be putting it lightly.

There are many surprises waiting for Caleb and his girlfriends in the Wyrdworld, including a surprising legacy left behind by his Crafter grandfather.

the character is much better then the previous book, the story progresses nicely and is pretty enjoyable. I recommend giving book 2 a try if you liked book 1

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I hope there are more books to come in this series! The MC is great along with a really good supporting cast! The story is captivating! The narrators also do a good job of bringing the story to life! Great job Dante King!

Weak

Weak writing to get a plot that seems intriguing. We have a weak mc and the importance of and strength of the mc is insignificant so the only interesting parts of the story is character interactions. Felt like a mob loan shark story.

Too cool! 🤙

MC is adding to his harem and learning is new crafting powers.
Not everyone is happy with the way things are going and so the gang is not safe but having the most powerful vampire in Hades and her organization behind him is helping.
I'm loving this series.
Book 2 is awesome!
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

Should have been part of a larger story

The narration was fine. But the story itself goes almost nowhere. 8 hrs of narration and 6.5 hrs of that time is wasted on internal dialog, rehashing information already provided blah, blah, blah. I get character development but at a certain point you're just wasting time and running up your word count.
Seriously if you want to know the main story, chapters 1-3 and the final 3 are pretty much it.
It's kind of sad, A couple of new characters were introduced and then never utilized. a 4th "main" character is developed slightly but that's about all that happens in the middle of incessant internal monologing.
