One of my Favorites

I read it in my early 20s, I loved it then..I couldn't wait for it to come on here... I was kinda Mad, how they had to talk about how long ago she had wrote it, how people can be upset, over abuse of women, and how young they could be..But it Was FACT women had NO rights, we were below a Cow,,Husband's could beat their wives, etc..Instead of being upset, learn your history, in the 60 and 70s husband could hve their wives put in a crazy house for almost any reason, at least our woman here had a back bone...

Loved it!

I read this in high school. It was so great to listen to it! I loved it then and I love it now! I pre-ordered all of the Woodiwiss books when I learned they were being released as audiobooks! Now, on to the next, but deciding which one will be so hard!!

Loved it!!!

This book is by far my favorite from Woodiwiss. I have read it many times. When I saw it would be offered on Audible, I pre ordered it. I do not regret my decision. It is a job well done.

Loved it AGAIN

I read this book when it first came out in the 70s. I loved it then and I loved it even more now. I was a bit nervous about the Audible against the book, but it was exceptional. Kathleen writes in a way that touches your heart. This is what I will listen to again and again over the years. I hope you will enjoy it as I do these mini years.

Read this 30 years ago in high school.

I hadn’t read a Romance novel in such a long time. I saw the title and got nostalgic. It was just as good as I remember.

Love this story!

I love Kathleen’s style for historical periods in history and making the characters come alive. Listening was definitely better than reading her hard copy books!

Love this book

One of my favorite paperbacks some 30 + years ago. Loved finally getting to listen to it to it on audiobooks. Will be listening to the rest. Kathleen Woodiwiss books were my introduction to historical romance. Nobody compares with her writing style.

LOVE THIS BOOK!

I have read this book many times since the 1970’s. This one, The Flame and the Flower, and Shanna are my favorites and the ones I have read most over the years, but the others are good also. Now that I’m older it is hard for me to read print copies so I’m thrilled that they have been released in audio! I have had this one pre-ordered since November of 2021, and 2 others since January of 2022. I am so happy that they are finally available and a new generation can enjoy the work of KEW!
