Mundane! WTF with all the 5 stars reviews
Expectations were high when I purchased this book, being familiar with Nicholas Sparks books. The first thing that caught my attention was the lack of characterization of Baby Daddy and the event surrounding that part of the plot. The middle of the book was bogged down in mundane details. Maggie washes dishes, Maggie rides the ferry, Maggie washes more dishes, Maggie takes another photo or two. Then Bryce. Then Mark. Then the choices she makes again. All very predicable. Very disappointing listen. I did finish it because the other people raved about it. Not sure what I missed but it seems Mr. Sparks suddenly wanted it to be over and it was. Boom. Cannot say anything else without spoiling it for someone who has not finished it.
