Amazing & Helpful book to have in your library!
I really like how this book covers all aspects of herbalism. From its history, to how to get started, and what your life would look like with these practices applied. It is a well rounded, well written book and a great resource to have in your library. The idea of getting into herbs can be overwhelming but this book is a great way to introduce the subject, and it breaks it down in a doable manner that is easily digestible. You’ll feel more connected and capable of herbalism by the time you get done with this book!

Great Place to Start
If you are interested in the world of herbal medicine this audiobook is a great place to start. I found it to be a wonderful introduction and not overwhelming. The author offers well researched information from the history of herbal remedies to present day uses with instructions to help you make your own.
I like the way this audiobook is played out. It is easy to find what you are looking for, whether it is help with physical well-being, stress and mental wellness, spoiling yourself a bit, or recipes.
I myself am new to using herbs. I've listened to several other books, but I wish this one had been the first. For me, it's a great introduction and place to start. After mastering this one, maybe I will go back to some of the others that are beyond the beginner level.

Everything you need to know to get started!
"The Ultimate Herbal Medicine Handbook" has all the right stuff to get started with herbal medicine. It includes herbs for mental and physical health and has herbs for beauty and relaxation, which I love! There is a ton of research and detailed information on the herbs with a history of herbology as well. Plus the practical sections on harvesting and taking care of the herbs themselves. The last chapter has all the recipes, so this is an all-in-one herbal how-to! Well done book! The narrator's voice is easy to listen to as well. I highly recommend this one!

Empowered to help yourself
I have been super frustrated lately with the rollercoaster of my health as well as my kids. Then it seems like modern medicine just continues to throw new meds at you hoping it will cure everything but in reality, we are just paying for an overpriced "solution". I have started looking more into natural remedies and it seems that there is so much available that can help us without having to get big pharma involved. This beginner's guide breaks it down for people like me who are just stepping into this world. Chapter 3 focuses on choosing herbs that support mental health which I appreciate as both my husband and daughter suffer from depression and both my kids and husband have ADHD. There seem to be several options that can help ease anxiety, and depression and increase focus. Originally I was thinking the book would address only if you're sick but it addresses that as well as herbs to add in for your overall health.
The book has step-by-step guidance for planting, growing, and harvesting so that you can preserve your herbal remedies. I am working hard to get myself ready for planting season so that I can start to move away from synthetic treatments with their side effects. I've even been talking to my kids about the changes and they have both said they are excited to be able to try these new solutions as well. Great book for anyone wanting to be able to help themselves instead of relying on modern medicine.

Super handy guide!
I thoroughly enjoyed diving into this listen, a really engaging and beautifully narrated book that offers all the information you need to know to jump into the world of natural remedies. There are plenty of details and clear explanations, whilst being user-friendly and easy enough to understand. I really enjoyed chapter 3 where the link between herbs and mental health is explored. Worth a listen!
