Good Brennan
This was a better book than I first thought Hopefully there will be a follow up with the main characters Different than her other series and that was a pleasant change

Horrible narrator
The story was good, but something was lost in the narration. The woman never changed her voice for different characters and sometimes it was hard to tell which character was speaking. There was zero differentiation between female and male voices. I’ll make sure not to purchase any more books she narrates.

Great first book, can't wait for next one
Great first book for new series, can't wait for next one! Interesting characters and great story line. The narration was great I hope she narrates all of the followup books.

Great characters
I like it when a story feels somewhat realistic, and this did. I enjoyed the author’s writing style, though I hope she’ll get a better editor in the future to clean up the writing a little and make it flow better here and there. The story was cool, main antagonist convincing and the dialogues were snappy. I wasn’t a fan of the narrator, who sounded like she just wanted to get it over with as fast as possible.

narration was great!
I don't get all the cataclysmic criticism of the narration in all these reviews. It was great, right tone and pace for the intensity of the story.

Sometimes hard to follow & ended suddenly
I enjoyed this book except that it was sometimes difficult to tell which character was speaking or being referred to. Also, the ending was too sudden, leaving it feeling unfinished. I get that there’s a sequel, but it’s still to abrupt.
