Excellent Book!

This book is a powerful reminder of what the 10 Commandments are, how they apply to today, and why we need them in this cultural moment. Kevin DeYoung has done the entire church a tremendous favor by writing this book. Great narration, too!

Lost Convictions

The reading and commentary concerning the 10 Commandments should bring conviction to any listener. The reader put very little expression in the reading, to keep the opinions bias, but it could not be helped to here the cry of the author concerning the lost heart to keep the commandments of the Lord. The author has a slight liberal view of the keeping of the commandments, yet holds to the conviction of the commandments being more than a humanitarian effort to be kind to others.
It is refreshing to hear a modern day interpretation of God's commands retaining the holiness of God. Jesus said...If you love Me keep My commandments. Jesus is God in the flesh.

Listened while trucking

Witty. Insightful. Thought thru. A reverent examination. Thanks to DeYoung, it's all coming back to me now. And that's the way it is.

Learning the true meaning of the 10 commandments.

The author explains in Great detail the totality of what the 10 commandments truly mean. It's much more than just reciting the 10 commandments. It goes into explaining the full meaning. I am a Christian and had no idea just what each of them encompassed, This is a Book that 1 could listen to everyday and still learn new things. It has given me many things to think about. It pointed out so much more than I had no idea about. And I will be listening to it very frequently and trying too live by the LORDS way. It really will give you many things to strive for and think about what the say and do. I highly recommend it for anyone who truly wants to live HIS way. I have found myself asking "would this please the LORD " dozens of times a day. EXCELLENT BOOK No matter what your favorite is or how do you practice your daily life. thank you.

Sunday is still mentioned

I'm always amazed that the Bible is used only as a secondary volume once the 4th commandment, the one mentioned most in the bible, keep the Sabbath holy. it's called the Jewish Sabbath but it is the Sabbath of of the Living God and no man's edict will change that regardless of their intention.
Sabbath is the Hebrew word for ceasing. the Lords day is Saturday the Sabbath is and will remain Saturday as Christ lived and kept.
