With the latest miscreant, she decides to take matters into her own hands.

Enjoyable short story
This short story was quite a treat to kick off the morning. The narrator's voice made this feel good story truly feel good! The story was intriguing beginning to end, and the ending was heartwarming. Wish I could hear more. :)

this story hit the spot
like a perfect piece of cake or pastry it was just enough would like a longer story next time love the narrator love the idea waiting for the full story what happens to the young man and does he start helping her in the store how many other children are rescued does grandmother actually come so many questions patiently waiting

A Nibble to Wet Your Appetite!
Lori Rader-Day wrote an endearing mini about a seemingly taciturn shopkeeper. In less than five minutes I was lured in and began to champion both Simone and the young man attempting to rob her store. I would love to read more about these characters!
