Indispensable

Everything I wish I would have known 20 years ago. Insightful, irreverent, helpful, hysterical. Tongue-in-cheek, but who needs therapy after listening to this? It is important content with the perfect narrator. This is exactly what I neede

Eye Opening

I read this book to better acquaint myself with issues faced by female clients who are living in blended families. It provided much insight! My only complaint is the repeated reference to drinking as a coping method for burdened step moms. Given the number of women dealing with alcohol use disorder, I found it in poor taste to normalize turning to alcohol when stressed.

Must read if you feel like you are needing some validation you are not crazy!

A lot of points are spot on and really hit home. If few sections seemed a little repetitive, but would still recommend, especially to anyone who hasn’t taken the plunge yet. Thanks for giving me some real validation!

thank you, ladies....I needed to hear this

I'm 43 yrs old, and dating someone with kids and an ex-wife for the first time. It hasn't been easy with the Ex.....all thoughts of us being decent to each other went out the window months ago. I don't have anyone in my circle that understands what I'm going through. this book made me feel like "thank goodness, it's not just me". I appreciated the stories and advice. I'm working on the emotional detachment and rising above her nastiness. I'm certainly not jumping into a cohabitation even after almost 2 yrs of dating. I think this book gave me validation I needed to move at my own pace. thank you ladies.....well written, enjoyable to listen to, and for once a self-help book that actually helped. 😀
