The Amazon Charts #1 Bestselling Mystery Series

A missing twin. A wayward sister. A "jaw-dropping" twist.

The shocking disappearance of a young woman and a suspicious death put Hanna and Alex back in the crosshairs of the ruthless Dellahousaye crime family.

Hanna and Alex again find themselves in the troubled waters of love and commitment. Alex returns to South Carolina with the promise of a new start, but with strings attached that Hanna may never be able to live with.

The story plays out against the compelling backdrop of Charleston, Pawleys Island, and the fictional Dugganville, South Carolina.

The Sister Taken is Michael Lindley's latest dark and twisting tale of corruption, betrayal, and murder set in the Low Country of South Carolina, featuring attorney Hanna Walsh and now former Charleston police detective Alex Frank.

Just as good the second time

I do love this series. It has been awhile since I last listened to a Hannah & Alex book. Turns out I’d already listened to this installment. But decided to listen again & it was just as good. I do have one complaint about the narration which, for the most part, was quite good. But I am fed up with many of the female narrators using a soft voice for the female main characters. I don’t know about you all - but I don’t personally know any female in the real world that speaks with a soft voice. Just had to get that off my chest.

Emily Sutton Smith takes the story up a notch!!!!

I’ve become a fan of this series by Michael Lindley. Always a good solid mystery. This one has a great twist at the end. It’s the story of identical twins. One is kidnapped The kidnappers ask$5M ransom from her criminal father who of course pays. The story that unfolds afterwards is so twisted. One of the twins also has some mental health issues.
This is book #4 in this standalone series. It need not be listened to in order. There is a blossoming relationship between the two protagonists that I think is better listened to in on the correct sequence but it is not necessary.
Emily Sutton Smith is a fantastic narrator. Her performance makes this book even better.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
