good read

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. very good read, especially for a sequel. adding words to meet the 15 word minimum for a review.

Rewardingly, even better than Book 1

Alec Hutson expertly expands on the previous oblivion event and brings in additional characters and other machinations happening elsewhere. It also breaks the story into multiple, interesting story arcs, including a more complete and chilling understanding of Kaden's mother. There's ample gruesome battles and epic, unforeseen betrayals.

Guy Williams continues with performing an enjoyable narration.

Will anxiously awaiting for book 3.

Darn good fantasy

I typically get bored, but not with these first 2 novels. One more book to go. Looking forward to it, and if you like awesome characters then you have come to the right place.

Poor Narration.

Very poor narration. Narrator is very droll and for some reason he gives every character an accent. I’ll admit I don’t know his nationality but his normal speech sounds nothing like the character’s voices. I realize the main character is a kid but this guy makes him sound like a 5 year old.

Better than most, less than a few

So, I enjoyed the first book. The second book, however, was a mixed bag. There are serious logic breaks that just make you cringe for long periods of time. Later in the book, you realize that the author needed a way to make groups travel together and this was it. Time and distance are not really relevant. They are commented on, but somehow, they never really matter. The stories are becoming overly complicated and convoluted....and not because of character growth.

I still enjoyed the world, and some of the interactions...but it was tainted.

So is it worth a credit? I did enjoy the story, but no where near the first book. If you like that kind of thing...go ahead. If you have a credit to waste...ok, I suppose you could do worse.
