Enrichment
This is a family story, better than a " book." I am so glad the author chose to read it himself. Hearing his experiences, gave them more life, and meaning. I found myself rooted in this story, listening with a grateful heart. I wish there was more content out there like this. If you love nature/ gardening/farming/being connected I highly recommend this book. Looking forward to MORE CONTENT from you Justin and the Rhodes family!;

A guidebook for homesteading and family.
Justin Rhodes nails everything homesteading right on the head. Consider this a must have guidebook if you're even considering a homestead. Already have a homestead? This book is for you too. It discusses practical design elements and efficiency in all the basics. A nice relief is that this book doesn't feel like work to read. Justin offers many personal stories and lessons throughout the book so you feel like you're just sitting and having a chat with "Uncle Justin". He also discusses the rooted life with family. A great guide to those who have children along on the journey or a spouse and struggle to keep focused on what's important- your family. Five stars all around and highly recommend.

Thank you Uncle Justin!
I appreciate you taking the time to write this book to teach us, motivate us, as well as entertain us with lessons learned from your journey. It gives me hope that I can still do this at my age (50) to still reach my dreams of becoming more sustainable. I have learned a lot from you already with my own gardening and raising chickens and hope to grow the garden and expand the animals once I can find land outside of the city. This will be a great reference tool I can use for years to come. Thanks again!

great storytelling
been a loyal fan since day one and this book is a wealth of information and encouraging that anyone can do it with a little hard work. The children's aspect of the book is a bonus and I can't wait for my son to farm with me in the homestead.

Best Read of the past 5 years!
I expected to learn something from this book, but I never expected to become so wrapped up in a story, culture and mindset as I did though Justin’s storytelling! Wow! What a gift he has! Thanks for not only clearly teaching and laying out the “how”, but for so beautifully illustrating the “why”.
