Publisher's summary

Welcome to Cajun country, Louisiana. Home to gators and gumbo, mosquitos and Mardi Gras, zydeco and zombies. This is zombie survival the Cajun way. Ancient gothic churches become citadels and swamp fortresses. The dead rise from the depths of the Mississippi River in The River Dead.

Tired of the usual post-apocalyptic tale? A uniquely Louisiana apocalypse, S. L. Smith's Cajun roots run down into the 1700s. Between old French plantations, Spanish moss, and Catholic churches, Smith depicts actual Louisiana locations between New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette.

Great story!

Really get that Southern feel. Solid story, characters. Sweeping, haunting descriptions. Some unique additions to the ZA genre, too.
