Second Time Around

The Rivals on the surface seems like an enemy to friend…hate to love book…but it is really about saving a man from a life not worth living to one where he forgives himself for being born as a tool. It I a very serious book and Weston Lockwood is a devastated man who uses his alpha tendencies to hide all of the pain and hurt he is feeling from his family and the loss of his sister, who he was born for only one reason and that was to save her with his body parts. I am not sure if Sophia ever really understands that…or if we ever see anyone except for his AA mentor..feel that pain with him. Sophia has her own set of problems but they are nothing compared to Weston’s. Underneath it all, Weston is really a very sensitive guy…who is hurting like hell and just trying to survive in the family that created him(and they did create him literally). Fortunately, he found what he needed from Sophia and that was enough to make him find what he needed in himself. You should read this book…and when you do focus more on the characters than the story itself (which is funny at times) as that is where the real meat is. Oh…and I would have loved for their wedding to be the following Christmas in the hotel lobby in front of the infamous Christmas tree.. and see what members actually came. Well deserving 5 stars…Vi does not disappoint her readers.

Outstanding

Such a great story. From the first to the last chapter I was totally invested in the story. Sebastian York and Andi Arndt did a fabulous job bringing this story to life.This has to be one of my favourite books from this author so far.

Loved everything about this one. Once click it's a gem.

Sizzling Hot!

Sizzling hot, super romantic and fantastic characterization. What I like the most about this story is that the characters are 3 dimensional and intricate. At first I couldn't stand either of them, by the end I was yelling at Sophia to get it together! Perhaps its Landons character that truly pulled me. What kept me listening was the fact both of them were so incredibly messed up from their childhoods, it made their decisions make sense.

I didn't give this 5 stars because I felt both characters really needed to face their terrible families. Especially Sophia. Her Dad is emotionally abusive and while Landon helps her, even sticks up for her, I wanted her to have an "F U" moment.

I want more of how they deal with family members. A sequel around the wedding and all the family tummoult would be interesting. Even more so would be a sequel about the birth of their first baby... heralding the true crossing of both families into one.

Gold stars for Sebastian and Andie. They were fantastic! Except Sebastians female British accent threw me off. Overall they made the story come to life in brilliant fashion.

steamy with a happy ending.

It was predictable and cliche, but performed well, and hot as hell! Worthy of a listen, kept my interest for sure.

Easy listen

Vi Keeland’s books are easy to listen to and they have a very good message.

I want to fight like Weston and Sophia

I can not put this author's books down. she definitely has a knack for the hot romance writing. and she has two of the best voices narrating her books. Sebasyian York and Andi Arndt are amazing . On to the next Vi Keeland book!!

Kept my attention. Very sexy. I love the narrators. Will continue to read from this author.

Enemies to Lovers

You can never go wrong with a Vi Keeland book.

My heart broke for Weston and the way his family treated him and then you have Sophie who has also had a messed up family life. Put these two enemies together trying to run a hotel until one can take over causes sparks to fly.

Loved these two together.

Loooooooved this book

Lots of bumps and bruises on this roller-coaster and i enjoyed every bit of it. as usual the narrators were amazing qnd really brought the story to life.
