Publisher's summary

Getting into prison is easy; it’s getting out that’s tricky.

Almost everyone in prison will tell you they’re in there for a crime they didn’t commit, but Anthony Rourke really means it. That’s because he’s actually Bunny McGarry, who has got himself into one of Nevada’s finest penitentiaries under false pretenses. He is there to bust someone else out.

The Sisters of the Saint, no ordinary bunch of nuns, find themselves caught between a rock and a hard place when two of their order are taken hostage. The only way to ensure their safe return is to trade them for the mysterious man who is now Bunny’s cellmate. Rumors abound as to who this man really is, but seeing as nobody is allowed to communicate with him in any way, figuring that out will be tricky.

The last thing the situation needs is further complications, but when Sister Dionne comes into contact with an UFO cult, she recognizes it as a massive con job. The reason she is so sure is because the whole thing was her idea in the first place - and now, she is determined to put an end to it.

The clock is ticking, the prison authorities are suspicious, and lying low has never been a McGarry strong suit. Can Bunny and the Sisters pull off an audacious prison break against near impossible odds? It’s The Shawshank Redemption meets Ocean’s Eleven.

The Quiet Man is book three in the McGarry Stateside series by Caimh McDonnell. McDonnell’s work has been praised for bringing a fresh voice to the thriller genre. He deftly combines a finely honed comic sensibility with pulse-pounding action which have made his books Amazon best sellers the world over.

When is the next book out?

I guess the best sign is that every time after I’ve finished one book, I can’t wait to start the next.
Also, never ever change the narrator. He does a brilliant job with all the characters.

Better and better

So loving all of these. Each book stands on its own but the whole series is fantastic. Starting with the first gives better insight and understanding of the characters, all of whom are just lovely.
Can’t wait for the next.

Did not disappoint!

Caimh is so funny. I was laughing from the start. The story was good. Characters well developed so that you feel a part of the story. I have read all of the Dublin Trilogy and Bunny McGarry stateside books. I will probably read them again. And Morgan C Jones had the narration down to a T! Read them in order so you get all of the subtle references….

Very entertaining

I never quite liked any of his books as much as the Dublin trilogy, but this one is right up there.

A thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining series

Narrator was exemplary and added to the story. I look forward to more stories about McGary in the future.

Very good writing, funny, with a twisty plot

Caimh McDonnell, or C.K. McDonnell, continues to offer readers very good writing. The dialogue is full of humor, and the ideas he has come up in this story are ingenious. The narration by Morgan C. Jones, as usual, offers a broad variety of recognizable character voices. Sometimes a writer will hook readers into a series and then take it easy with bland stories. It's great to read a series and still be surprised by interesting twists and turns in a story with unique ideas. McDonnell's writing keeps me intrigued and every now and then laughing out loud.

Bunny and Bizarre a Marriage Made in Heaven

When you think a Bunny story couldn't get more convoluted, strange, and over the top, read this one. The plotting is both fun and intricate, and dialogue both internal and external rings true. Add in one of the best narrators, and you have another home run, with apologies to Bunny for the crass reference to baseball.

Bunny never dissappoints

Loved the way this one came together. The great characters and humorous situations (as always with McDonnell's books) had me laughing out loud.
