City girl Sophie has married the prince (or landed gentry - close enough), moved to his pile (which is more accurate a description than she’d anticipated) and is set to live happily ever after - until she finds the other half of her perfect life in the stables with the stable girl, and they’re definitely not grooming the horses. Shocked and appalled, Sophie’s no happier to learn that she’s supposed to 'just get on with it'. After all, according to her mother-in-law, she got the title...they even overlooked her family’s ‘new money’ status.

Just a prologue
I don’t mind since it was part of Audible Plus, but would have been pi$$ed if I’d used a credit. Not sure why this is a separate entry from the next book unless it’s just a teaser to get someone to purchase the next book (which was thankfully on audible plus at the time of this review).

So confusing
the story was just barely interesting enough to keep me interested but definitely not one of my favorite reads. the narrator was a bit confusing the way they jumped from one storyline to another. there was no pause or anything it was like one sentence to another and all the sudden you're in different characters mind and it takes a minute to catch up. there's so many names that I had a hard time keeping the characters straight. if you've got nothing else better to read or you're out of credits try this book. otherwise don't waste your credits
