OMG it was amazing. I loved this book. Regine Abel always never disappoints with her books. this one was amazing and the narrator Daryl Mayfield was AMAZING as always I hope he keeps narrating her books because his voice is SEXY as sin

WOW!!! Loved the series

I read (book) The Nightmare. Now it is on audible. I had to have it. Let me tell you, one of my best decisions yet. Daryl Mayfield did a phenomenal performance on bringing The Nightmare to life. I will look for more books with him as narrator.
This is book two of The Mist. Stand-alone HEA romance, interesting and unique storyline, action, suspense and sexy times.
Hopefully there will be more “MIST” books.

Miss Regine I love your books sooo much. I also love the narrator he has the perfect voice for male and female characters. when he reads your story's he brings them to life. I love how it feels like you are reading the book. please keep Mr Mayfield reading your books.

Glad I took the chance

I was afraid this would be a “fades to black” or YA book. Luckily that isn’t the case! Well written with an original world and a morally grey hero. This story definitely hits the spot if your looking for a sexy dark anti hero fantasy. Dual pov and good narration plus some decent detailed sex scenes make this well worth the credit.
My only complaint would be that implied kink isn’t explored. It seems like the relationship is setting up for some naughty fantasies but there just aren’t enough sex scenes to show it. Also I would have liked the guy to be a bit darker. It seemed like he was tamed pretty easily . Also I couldn’t buy the mfc as a psychiatrist but that doesn’t really effect the plot so it’s kinda moot.

Mild?

Great storyline not mild like I was worried about. But the pace picked up and it wasn't mild at all.

Stayed for the narration

This book was a constant push and pull that left me pretty whiplashed. Examples : paragraph upon paragraph of Thomson and niema explaining how zaynes a psychopath and how he'll never change, then immediate attempts the Thompson and niema trying to change him. Or niema judging zayne for his psychopathy just to state what felt like sentences later that she would never judge zayne for his psychopathy. Luckily the tonal whiplash does ease up towards the end. I'm not particularly into the whole "psychopath with a sweet spot for me" kink but with how often the word psychopath is used, this felt very safe. I wanted to drop this mid-way but Daryl's voice just kept me in a choke hold. Amazing voice performance!
